"Everything I know about Quantum Physics"
Or everything I care to know about Quantum Physics, I learned from this book. I love the riddles, thought experiments, and adaptations of the classic thinkers' puzzles. The world of Abre (sp?) is so rich and detailed, and every bit of the history has been imagined.
The narration by William Dufris is perhaps one of my favorite parts, and I've now started to seek out other Dufris-read books. Next on my list is likely Cryptonomicon.
"Absurd and Hilarious"
The only thing you can expect from John Hodgman is to expect anything. He throws in just enough of the truth to make you realize that this is not an utter work of fiction, but this almanac of made up facts is one thing above all else: a great read and very funny.
