  • Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal

Verily, the story Biff has to tell is a miraculous one, filled with remarkable journeys, magic, healings, kung fu, corpse reanimations, demons, and hot babes. Even the considerable wiles and devotion of the Savior's pal may not be enough to divert Joshua from his tragic destiny. But there's no one who loves Josh more (except maybe "Maggie," Mary of Magdalan) and Biff isn't about to let his extraordinary pal suffer and ascend without a fight.

    "Fun and Funny"
    Overall

This book is similar to other Christopher Moore books in the sense that it deals with his odd humor and writing style. If you like other Moore books, then you'll probably like this book. The story itself was an interesting twist on what could have happened during the "lost" years of Jesus' early adulthood. On the surface, this book sounds like it would be offensive to Christianity, but it definitly isn't. Don't be afraid of the content, this book is a fun, intriguing, and funny read, and all of the humor is in good taste. I definitly recommend it.

Why we think it’s a great listen: How do you one-up a book that’s already a global literary phenomenon? Hire Simon Vance to (flawlessly) interpret the loves, lives, and murders of Sweden’s cold and secret-filled world. A spellbinding amalgam of murder mystery, family saga, love story, and financial intrigue. It's about the disappearance 40 years ago of Harriet Vanger, a young scion of one of the wealthiest families in Sweden.

    "Excellent Mystery Novel"

This book kept me on the edge of my seat just hoping to get back in my car every time I had to leave it.

The book brings together the classic hard boiled detective genre and the more recent crime thriller genre, and it does it perfectly. By the time you get the end, you're going to wish you had more to listen to. Fortunately, there are two "sequels" to the book, but I haven't heard them yet.

just pick it up, and give it a listen
