I've read all of Elmore Leonard's books, but this was a yawn. I had no feelings for any of the characters. Skip this one.
I've never listened to a book quite like this. It kept me interested the whole time and I'd recommend it to anybody who likes something out of the mainstream.
This was not as good as the original, "The Power of One", but I still enjoyed listening to it. Sad, though.
The subject seemed interesting, but this was hard to enjoy. It was almost like reading a textbook.
Even though I've read a lot about this period in British history, this book added to my knowledge and held my interest. I would recommend it.
Although not my favorite book by this author, I still enjoyed the story. It starts out a little slow, but builds up to hold your interest. Seems to have been well researched.
This book grabbed me. It is fascinating from beginning to end and I only wish we could have a second book to continue the story. Don't be put off by the material--boxing is not my favorite sport, but it does not detract from the story. I loved every minute of it and hated to have it end. Listen to or read this book!
