Rachel Morgan is a runner with the Inderland Runner Services, apprehending law-breakers throughout Cincinnati. She's also a witch, one of the many Inderlanders who revealed themselves after a genetically engineered virus wiped out 50 percent of humanity. Witches, warlocks, vampires, werewolves: the creatures of dreams and nightmares have lived beside humans for centuries, hiding their powers. But now they've stopped hiding, and nothing will be the same.

An enjoyable blend of hard nosed detective novels and the saucy supernatural genre hilight this delightful series. Kim Harrison has aptly created charators that leave the listener enchanted by them. Rachel the sexy headstrong witch, Ivy a seductive vampire with a very dark hunger barely kept in check and Jinx a pixie with a attitude, to whom size really does not matter! Fun, compelling and at times tensly exciting! With a slew of similar chick/lit vampire series, Ms. Harrisons stories stand head and shoulders above many of the others. Highly recommended horror series, enjoy.

The mutant white rat had grown and mated, creating offspring in its own image. They dominated the others, the dark-furred ones, who foraged for food and brought it back to The Lair. Now the dark rats were restless, tormented by a craving they could not satisfy. But the white, sluglike thing that ruled them knew. Its two heads weaved to and fro and a stickiness drooled from its mouth as it remembered the taste of human flesh.

A sequel to James Herberts "The Rats", ( also available at audible) is a roller coaster of a urban horror novel. The tension mounts as the story peoceeds, the mutant rats that devestated London are back! Bigger and meaner than ever. Well read by the reader, tense, well paced and gory, James Herbert shows a true talent for terror. If there are any negatives about this great novel, it is that this is an abridged recording. Still and all it's a flesh chompimg, dark toned story, that is a must for all horror fans.

It was only when the bones of the first devoured victims were discovered that the true nature and power of these swarming black creatures with their razor-sharp teeth and their taste for human blood began to be realised by a panic-stricken city. For millions of years, man and rats had been natural enemies. But now for the first time, suddenly, shockingly, horribly, the balance of power had shifted.

Torchwood: Another Life, An original dramatization based on the hit BBC spin-off of the Doctor Who series is both delightful and gripping. A top notch science fiction / mystery story, worthy to be included in your collection. Very enjoyable story with quality sound, narrated by John Barrowman who plays Capt. Jack Harkness on the television show. I enjoy the TV series and this original tale continues the adventures of the Torchwood team as it protects earth from aliens and creatures from time and space. If you like Doctor Who and Men in Black, you will love this audio book.
