Thomas Ward has spent two years as the Spook's apprentice. He's faced unimaginable peril, and survived. But a new danger has emerged: an ancient water witch, Bloodeye, is roaming the County intent on destroying everything in her path. To strengthen his skills, Tom is sent to the far north to train with the demanding Bill Arkwright. Will Tom's new bag of tricks be enough to overcome a critical mistake that leaves him confronting Bloodeye on his own?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I enjoyed that Thomas is growing and becoming a young man. like the character is changing. Not just having him appear in the stories.

Have you listened to any of Christopher Evan Welch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I got hooked on the Last Apprentice since the beginning.

What disappointed you about The Devil’s Heiress?

I couldn't get into the story because the reader was boring.

What could Jo Beverley have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

This is not a problem with the author but the performance of the reader

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He was boring and makes the story hard to follow

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Devil’s Heiress?

    None really

    Any additional comments?

I would not select a book with this reader again.

What disappointed you about Powder Burn?

I cant rate this book because I was to bored to get past the first 3 hours. If you love Carl Hiaasen stay away from this book. Its starts slow and I think that's the way it will continue. This book was a slow starter like the Lords of Discipline

Would you ever listen to anything by Carl Hiaasen and Bill Montalbano again?

Not both this book was too boring to complete. I have listened to all of Carl Hiassen books longer than 8 hours and I loved them all, this one was just not for me.

Would you be willing to try another one of Robert Ramirez’s performances?

I didn't finish the book so I don't feel like I should rate his performance

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Powder Burn?

I was to bored to finish the first half let alone the complete boo.

    Any additional comments?

    Can I have a refund?
