Before Madeleine Albright turned twelve, her life was shaken by the Nazi invasion of Czechoslovakia—the country where she was born—the Battle of Britain, the near total destruction of European Jewry, the Allied victory in World War II, the rise of communism, and the onset of the Cold War. Albright's experiences, and those of her family, provide a lens through which to view the most tumultuous dozen years in modern history.

Would you try another book from Madeleine Albright and/or Madeleine Albright?

Still want to read this promising book but the reading tempo was far too slow for me. I actually fell asleep after 5 minutes - that rarely happens. The boringly slow tempo didn't give me a chance to discover the rest of the book. What a shame!

What could Madeleine Albright have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

increase the tempo to less than boring.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Madeleine Albright?

    in this case, an actor

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Prague Winter?

didn't hear enough to tell, but heard good reviews. Now what do I do? I can't read text.

    Any additional comments?

I find quite a few audible books are read slowly. Perhaps there has to be a review of listeners' needs.
