I enjoyed this story. I thought the narrator brought the story to life. I enjoyed that though they both kept their secrets they didn't let them get in the way of how they truly felt for each other.
A friend told me last month that I really needed to add Kevin Hearne to my enormous TBR pile. I assured him that I was very busy but would check him out as soon as possible. A couple of days later this book came up on the daily deal, and I couldn't pass up on that price. After all, I had agreed to check this author out.
After the sugar high of Halloween I started Hounded and listened to the first chapter. I really like Luke Daniel's voice and the way he comes across as Atticus O'Sullivan and his voice for the dog, Oberon is perfect as well. I could not imagine a better narrator for this book. I was seriously disappointed when I had to put the book down and get some rest and again the next day when I was expected to work for 8 hours.
I'll leave others to explain the plot, but will say that I found it to be quite fun. The wit that filled the pages from this ancient Druid were fun and I found myself on more that one occasion chuckling out loud. I very much look forward to starting the next book and fully expect to be through the rest of this series by Thanksgiving.
Can Kevin write any faster?
Lynsay Sands is one of my favorite authors. Overall I give the story a 4 because it was a little predictable. Ok, it was a lot predictable but I enjoyed the story none the less. I look forward to more books authored by Lynsay Sands and think Mary Jane Wells did an excellent job with the narration.
I love Darynda Jones and I love Lorelei King, team these two up and I'm in heaven!!
I love the Fools Gold series and look forward to each release. However, this one just wasn't my favorite. It was still very good and Tanya Eby did a fine job narrating.
Worth a credit: totally, I'm sure I'll listen to it again on long road trips.
She is quick witted, sarcastic, and simply is fun to read. Amanda Ronconi handles the sarcasm with expertise. I think this an excellent use of a credit!
I loved the storyline and Sarah Coomes does a fantastic job. She's a bit over dramatic but I much prefer that to no voice inflection at all. She does a good job distinguishing between the characters. I would love to listen to more by this author and narrator.
Driving Mr. Dead was a very fun book so it ranks in the top 10% of my audiobooks. The story and performance were well done.
**Spoilers** My favorite scene was when her car goes over the cliff and well... that was fun.
I had read other Molly Harper books before, years ago, and knew she was a fun story teller. I enjoyed this story and look forward to catching up on the other books of hers that I've missed over the years.
After actually reading the first 17 books plus novellas of this series I just knew I'd love to listen to this edition. While I thought the narrator was fine I think I'm use to the voice in my head when it comes to these characters.
Also, I thought the story needed a little something. I just didn't feel the attraction between couple, especially when he keeps saying she wasn't the prettiest woman he'd ever seen. Kinda like, 'oh, she'll do. I guess. If I have to.' But still I thought overall it was a good story and nice performance.
I've been waiting to read Paris' story for a long time.
I wasn't sure about Max Bellmore at first but the more I listened the more I felt he became the characters. I will gladly listen to anything he narrates.
