The only book that might compare to Heat Rises, would be the other Nikki Heat books. The relationship between the characters may be similiar to other romance novels, but the wit and depth of the characters is phenominal in this series.
Johnny Heller adds depth to the characters of Rook and Heat. He make you laugh and cry.
I both laughed and cried during this book.
The interplay between Heat and Rook is at the core of these books. Sometimes you have to laugh at how Rook can push Heat's buttons.
The sexual innuendos are "to die for"!!!
I would not recommend this to a friend if they read the Masked Ball at Broxley Manor. Too much is duplicated.
If they hadn't read the other, than I might recommend this one
This story felt rushed and she seemed to be pushing the characters to do things. I does not flow as well as her other books.
Katherine is fine and I have grown to expect her for Georgie. But not Katherine's best work either.
No, this book, needs to be left alone.
Not one of Mrs Bowen's best. But I still love the characters and want to see what happens to them.
I love the series, but this novella was stale. Even the narration felt forced.
Yes, but if this was my first time with this series...I'd never pick up the next one.
I am back in the series, listening to another one immediately after this. I felt better listening to it.
Narration was harsh, not the normal Gorgiana
All of it!
The odd girl out and how she handles each catastrophe...or not.
She is having a hell of a time with her new job and I wait to see what will happen next. A roller coaster ride.
Defiantly the main character. Clueless sometimes, but trying to make her way in this new world. But feisty too.
I'm sad to see that there is only one other book. I've already added it to my wish list.
All of Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed stories are among my favorites, A Touch of Midnight, is now added.
The references to the emerging computer technologies. I often laughed aloud at work, good thing I'm in my own office.
The bathtub scene...
Absolutely. As I do with ALL of the Midnight Breed stories.
This book goes right along with the others in the Half Moon Hollow universe. All the paranormals are connected in some way, and this brings our old friends back to interact with new members.
Amanda's performance is always outstanding. But she took it up a notch, with the Boston and Irish accents. Especially when a conversation includes, Southern twang, Boston quirk, and Irish drawl!! Awesome.
I always want to listen to Molly Harper's stories in one sitting. But I MUST break it apart, especially when I'm laughing uncontrollably!
Chaos, Vampire, and Road-Trip. If that doesn't grab you attention, nothing will!
Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs. This story brought us back to Half Moon Hollow, introduced us to more residents of the most paranormal SOUTHERN town in America!!
The sarcastic wit of Molly Harper's writing. Reading it just wouldn't have the same flair, nor the Southern twang that adds another level to the story.
Always, always, A L W A Y S, laugh my ass off.
The humor, definitely Molly Harper's sarcastic wit and humor.
The progression of Lacey's writing, from the newsletter to the final ending of her story.
The morning of Monroe's birthday (no spoiler here)!
Lots of snorting and laughing out loud. But that's what I've come to expect with a Molly Harper book.
The story yes, the narrator...not so much. But I like the stories and want to know who's love life is next.
Kurt, his willingness to take care of everyone. Especially the children.
I only listen to Molly Harper books with Amanda Ronconi to bring it to life.
Amanda always makes the humor, roll on the floor laughing!
Snort or guffaw out loud at work.
The humor that always comes from a Molly Harper story. I find myself laughing out loud at work. I make sure that I don't have any soda handy when I listen. Soda burns when it comes out of your nose.
Well I would certainly LOVE to find these hunky werewolves. I want to smell like home to one.
Humor pure and simple
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Amanda Ronconi's performance. She is the voice of Molly Harper's worlds. Just as James Marsters is for Jim Butcher's Dresden world. Or Lorelei King for Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum world.
I want more naked werewolves!!!
