What made the experience of listening to Prince Charming the most enjoyable?

The storyline. Keeps you into it and you don't want to stop listening.

What other book might you compare Prince Charming to and why?

Never Seduce A Scot by Maya Banks
Both had strong heroines who overcame many obstacles and grew into a more mature and better person throughout the story.
The heros were impressive men, who also grew into better people.
Different countries but each were set in a beautiful part of the world.

What about Rosalyn Landor’s performance did you like?

Everything! She is very talented and does well with distinguishing different characters, accents, and sexes.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Lucas and Taylor's walk back home after a harrowing experience with her uncle.

    Any additional comments?

I hope Julie Garwood writes many more quality novels and has Rosalyn Landor narrate
    them.
I definetely recommend this book to those who love historical romance, with action, wit, and some suspense thrown in.

The last person Daria Babcock expects to find in her grandmother’s home is a brawny, naked Highlander. She doesn’t buy Mamie’s explanation about finding the poor man shot in the woods. Nor does she trust the gorgeous laird, who insists his own memory fails him. But Daria came to Scotland looking for adventure and romance, and after the intriguing stranger kidnaps her, she gets her wish - and so much more....

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    Wouldn't know

Has The Last Debutante turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Extremely ! Terrible narration. The book is a Scottish tale and this
Narrator simply is awful at her Scots accent.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No. Too slow, poor narration, and too much conflict & handwringing in relationship between
    Hero/ heroine.

    Any additional comments?

Hope Julia London gets back in form and chooses better narrator
    For each story.

This is the 2nd book of the McCabe series and it's a good one. Love the way the relationship grows between h/h. Emotion, fun, wit, action, & love that endures. I didn't want to stop listening. You can read them alone but I recommend starting at the beginning of the series for you are familiar with the characters from previous book which adds to the depth of the story.

    Story

Maya Banks has grown as a quality author in this series. There is more substance in the plots. In this book the heroine is a strong woman, as in the others, but she also has learned to wield a sword to have an even stronger sense of ability to protect herself. This creates a dilemma for the hero. Does he accept a woman who can fight or try to fashion her into the image of the one who needs his protection?
It is worked out well in the story. There is of course romance, some suspense, a touch of humor, and action. It keeps your interest making you want to continue listening. I recommend this book to all who enjoy Highland romance.
Overall rating 4.5, it shows as 5 because you can't give 1/2 stars.
    Narrator does a great job.

The story was great for me as I loved seeing God's awesome and tender
Love. He is faithful. But I must add that the title is not the best as it infers
you will actually here her account of being in heaven, which was not included.
It is a more intellectual account better understood by those who are familiar
with Scripture for she quotes many while explaining how Jesus, still doing miracles
In our lives today as He did when He walked on earth, in particular her circumstances
of her death and back to this world. What a blessing, an awesome testimony to Christ's
Presence with us if we allow Him in.

It bit: New York hotels cost an arm and a leg, and Terri had flown from England to help plan her cousin's wedding. The new in-laws offered lodging. But they were a weird bunch. There was the sometimes chipper, sometimes brooding Lucern, and the wacky stage-actor, Vincent. (She couldn't imagine Broadway casting a hungrier singing-and-dancing Dracula.) And then there was Bastien. Just looking into his eyes, Terri had to admit she was falling for him.

Eveline Armstrong is fiercely loved and protected by her powerful clan, but outsiders consider her "touched." Beautiful, fey, with a level, intent gaze, she doesn't speak. No one, not even her family, knows that she cannot hear. Content with her life of seclusion, Eveline has taught herself to read lips and allows the outside world to view her as daft. But when an arranged marriage into a rival clan makes Graeme Montgomery her husband, Eveline accepts her duty -unprepared for the delights to come.

What made the experience of listening to Never Seduce a Scot the most enjoyable?

The h/h personalities, communication, and growth of their relationship.

What did you like best about this story?

It wasn't about vampires! It seems like every author these days wants to write paranormal, which I like, but not to excess. The very best thing about this book is it is a true love story where the characters relationship grows with good communication, (which says alot for Maya Banks, as the heroine is deaf). It's not just pages of sex scenes, but love grown, nurtured, and shared. The sub characters were great also.

Have you listened to any of Kirsten Potter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She did a great job with the voices and accents.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Graham, the hero of the story, actually admitted he preffered making love with a woman he actually loved, than just rutting with anyone.

    Any additional comments?

I was hesitant to purchase a book by Maya Banks because of some of her past books and their covers which look like it is just mindless erotica, which is fine for those who want that but I look for more in a story. I APPLAUD Maya Banks on this work. It is good to find a story that keeps your attention from the very beginning and doesn't let it go. It is not just about the hero ruining as many women as he can, or two people fighting or having total miscomunication till the end then finally getting together. It is a very well written book, thoughtful, touching, some humor, action and intrigue. I definitely recomend this to those who enjoy a good adventure and historical romance. As I said in the title, it is well worth the credit.

If you are familiar with Molly Harper's books you will get the gist of the story better, although it can be read/listened to alone. It was not one of her best, but wasn't bad either.
If you like a little romance with some not so gruesome paranormal, and humor thrown in you may enjoy this story. The narrator does a very good job.
