The story was great for me as I loved seeing God's awesome and tender
Love. He is faithful. But I must add that the title is not the best as it infers
you will actually here her account of being in heaven, which was not included.
It is a more intellectual account better understood by those who are familiar
with Scripture for she quotes many while explaining how Jesus, still doing miracles
In our lives today as He did when He walked on earth, in particular her circumstances
of her death and back to this world. What a blessing, an awesome testimony to Christ's
Presence with us if we allow Him in.
The quality writing of the author and the talent of the narrator which makes the book top a notch listen. The beautiful setting of the town the story is written around, also, all the characters, their interaction is special.
She is a great narrator, gifted with giving characters, male & female, unique voices.
I bought this in a promotion. This book is part of series but can be a stand alone read. Of course after enjoying the characters so much I look forward to reading the others in the series.
The witty banter, down to earth characters in the high society.
When the h/h actually start out being honest with each other.
This was my 1st time reading a book by Courtney Milan. I picked a good one with enjoyable characters, not a lot of bickering between h/h, actually they developed a friendship with honest, witty, & forthright dialogue. A page turner that you want to keep reading.
Yes. It's a short story but it is enjoyable & FREE!
I like Molly Harper's light take on the paranormal and the humor as well.
If the author would have wrote the first two thirds of the story like the last third. The main characters didn't communicate for most of the book. Also a better narrator, her Scots accent was off.
No, will listen to one of the Highlander series written by Karen Marie Moning. I know I won't be disappointed, and the narrator, Phil Gigante, is great too.
Improve accent and not sound like a spoiled teenager.
This book and series ranks at the top of my list.
The best narrator for this series, she brings uniqueness to each character.
If you like humor, romance, mystery, and paranormal, weaved together by a very talented author & narrator this series is for you.
It is best to start at the beginning of the series for each book builds upon the others and the characters develop throughout.
Can't say enough about the uniqueness of this storyline.
There is adult language and situations, not for young readers, but this author does have other books for teens.
Lynsay Sands is a talented author. I enjoy her lighthearted, humorous work. Today's world is filled with enough strife that it is good to read/listen to stories that put a smile on your face & touch your heart. This story just was not up to her usual talent.
Narrated with more emotion, h/h with stronger personalities, and more humor.
Good voice but not enough emotion; more like reading rather than narrating.
I look forward to better historical romance from this talented author.
Yes, I like both
The second half of the book was the most interesting.. Least: The first half moved slow, also took awhile to get used to listening to a great narrator having to create an accent that was a mish mash of three. After a while it was ok but at beginning it was slightly irritating.
Yes! She is a great narrator, but as mentioned above this one wasn't her best. I think it was more the character, who had a mixture of several accents that took away from it somewhat.
Nola and Jed clearing the air and working together sooner.
I enjoyed having characters from previous books in the series being an intricate part of the story. Would have rated overall and story 3.5 if you were able to use half stars. All in all it was a good book, not one of her best, just a little slow in first half.
Extremely ! Terrible narration. The book is a Scottish tale and this
Narrator simply is awful at her Scots accent.
No. Too slow, poor narration, and too much conflict & handwringing in relationship between
Hope Julia London gets back in form and chooses better narrator
For each story.
The storyline. Keeps you into it and you don't want to stop listening.
Never Seduce A Scot by Maya Banks
Both had strong heroines who overcame many obstacles and grew into a more mature and better person throughout the story.
The heros were impressive men, who also grew into better people.
Different countries but each were set in a beautiful part of the world.
Everything! She is very talented and does well with distinguishing different characters, accents, and sexes.
Lucas and Taylor's walk back home after a harrowing experience with her uncle.
I hope Julie Garwood writes many more quality novels and has Rosalyn Landor narrate
I definetely recommend this book to those who love historical romance, with action, wit, and some suspense thrown in.
This is the 2nd book of the McCabe series and it's a good one. Love the way the relationship grows between h/h. Emotion, fun, wit, action, & love that endures. I didn't want to stop listening. You can read them alone but I recommend starting at the beginning of the series for you are familiar with the characters from previous book which adds to the depth of the story.
