"I just want to be happy," a simple goal expressed as though it were the very least we could expect of life. Some phrase it differently, and some attach requirement or specifics to the statement by pre-deciding how happiness must be packaged. Nonetheless it sounds so reasonable an expectation and yet for some reason so many people spend an entire lifetime unable to reach or even discover the first step on the path to this universal desire. Many believe that this illusive state would be possible if they could only win the lottery, inherit great wealth....

What did you love best about Swallow The Happy Pill?

Craig Beck ties together so many concepts that resonated with me in this this book. The ideas were not new to me, but the way he pulls them together in this short book is magnificant. I especially appreciated the way he presented the ego and the soul.

What about Craig Beck’s performance did you like?

I love his voice and his pace of speaking. I listen to a lot of books on 2x audio because I am very audio focused and like to get the information faster. Craig's pace was perfect on 1x normal setting.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

    Be aware of your ego!

    Any additional comments?

My life is far better and happier as I embrace my primary thought events and get in the flow!

  • Aftershock: Protect Yourself and Profit in the Next Global Financial Meltdown

While the "experts" want us to believe that all is well (or will be soon), nothing could be further from the truth. The worldwide financial crisis of 2008 and 2009 was just a sneak preview of what is to come. But for those who act quickly and correctly, there is still time to protect yourself, your family, and your business in the next global money meltdown.

David M. Weprin says: "Interesting, convincing, and well narrated advert."
    "ADVERTISMENT for Aftershock financial services"

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book is an ADVERTISMENT for Aftershock financial services, complete with 1-800 numbers repeated many, many times.

Has Aftershock turned you off from other books in this genre?

    no

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Christopher Kipiniak?

    ?

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Aftershock?

the 1-800 numbers for one thing

    Any additional comments?

While the authors may have some valid points, they have lost credibility with me by taking the advertising approach. The intended audience appears to be people with high mortgages and high credit card debt and with the advice to file bankruptcy, don't pay your credit card debt or pay your mortgage, these Wiedmer's sound more like criminals that someone I would trust with an investment strategy.

  • Naked Statistics: Stripping the Dread from the Data

From batting averages and political polls to game shows and medical research, the real-world application of statistics continues to grow by leaps and bounds. How can we catch schools that cheat on standardized tests? How does Netflix know which movies you'll like? What is causing the rising incidence of autism? As best-selling author Charles Wheelan shows us in Naked Statistics, the right data and a few well-chosen statistical tools can help us answer these questions and more.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    no one

How did the narrator detract from the book?

saying repeatedly “ceteris paribus” (meaning = with other things remaining the same)

eeek, there is no need to say this every other sentence after the term is introduced---BEYOND ANNOYING

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Charles is actually quite clever and funny, so if you want to understand this book----GET A PRINTED COPY!

    Any additional comments?

GET A PRINTED COPY!------I've listened to over 100 audible books this year, I love audible and I love audio------this book is not proper for audio only. You need to see the equations.
