    This is a very thorough book on the theology of pain. Godly people have reasons why a good person is suffering, but are not accurate in their views of God.

    Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    The challenge was the need to die to Christ. In Evangelical theology, we hear all we need to do is accept Jesus and we will be okay. He states that acceptance is just the start. If we don't have a major decision of a change we need to make in our lives because we have accepted Him, then we are not necessarily the followers that we think we are.
