Yes, It really made me think.
The voice of Rinpoche was very innocent and yet sophisticated. I was charmed by this book. It really made me think about the American culture.
I loved the way he spoke in Rinpoche's voice. He made him very intriguing and likable.
Rinpoche. I wanted to be in his presence. He was so unassuming and forgiving.
I would recommend this audio book. It touched my heart.
"Perfect Naration"
I really liked this book. The narration was perfect for the story. I love stories set in this era.
This was a beautiful story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved Elise's courage and beautiful soul.
The voice of Justine Eyre was so perfect for this book. She made me feel like I was at Tyneford.
I was very eager to get back to the story each time, but I wanted to savor it. I didn't want it to end.
Well worth the credit I used to purchase it!

Yes I would listen to this story again. The narration was excellent! I would compare this book to The Secret Life of Bees.
It was a charming story. I like the time period the story was set in and the characters were well done and I cared about the outcome. I couldn't quit listening but I also didn't want the story to end.
This book had a cast of narrators. They were all excellent.
This book made me laugh many times and was very poignant.
Worthwhile read. You won't be sorry you used a credit on this one.

I didn't read the print version but the audio version was wonderful.
It's just a great book, on the order of The Secret Life of Bees, or Saving CeeCee Honeycutt.
I loved the scene where Grandfather has Calpurnia help him taste test his pecan whiskey.
I wanted to savor it and did not want it to end.
I loved this book. The relationship between an 11 year old girl and her grandfather was so sweet and endearing. For me, this book was magical. It reminded me that life is full of possibility and wonder if we have the courage to live our dreams.

In the end I liked this book. It had a slow start and I wasn't sure I wanted to continue, but I'm glad I did.
