"I have listened to better from her."
This isn't my favorite one of her books but I got it because I have liked a lot of her books. It was just ok for me.
"didn't do it for me"
I feel a bit weird that I didn't like this book since a lot of people have. I haven't even finished it. The story line was slow, I didn't get the chemistry of the two main characters. I was just waiting and waiting to see if I would like it more, I will finish it however I am not motivated too. bummer.
"I was expecting more"
I have listened/read Julie Garwood books before and have really liked them. But this one I was expecting more out if it and was a little disappointed. Maybe it had to do with the narrator who I didn't enjoy on this one.
"I don't know what to think"
I liked this book enough to finish it, to see how it all played out, but did anyone else find her love interests roll in the book...a little..um..creepy?? I bought the series on a three for two sale so I will finish them all but I don't know what to think about it. I felt she should like the more human male, but I guess she isn't ALL human, so we shall see I guess. The narrator was ok but she did have a ten pack a day kind of voice.
"This was my kind of highlander story"
I didn't much care for the first one in this series. A bit cheezy and I didn't like main guy as much. I love this narrator with his deep voice and accents are fun to listen to. I liked the storyline and will listen again!
"I was hooked from the get go"
Although it has a bunch of crude situations and words I couldn't stop listening. I liked it so much I had my husband listen to it too. It had a bit of a surprise at the ending which I didn't see coming.
"I wanted to like it."
I tried several times to get into this book. I don't know whether it was the narrator or what but I thought the story line lacked. I usually know if I will like a book with in the first few chapters and I just didn't like the main character so I knew it wasn't going to be my favorite. I finished, but I was like eeh it was alright.
"holy hot!"
I loved these two characters and couldn't stop listening! The story between the two main characters struck a chord with me and was happy how it all ended up. Pretty hot and steamy, but I like how gentlemanly she makes the male. Narrator was good too.
"like outlander...really?"
It was a good storyline, but when it said it was like outlander, it missed the mark. I wanted more substance from the main two characters. Her and the irish man character had more development and story than the romance part of the book did. It was slow and I did finish it so I at least gave it three stars.
"eeh...it was okay"
I wished I liked this more, I do like the author, and the narration was ok. I thought it was a bit corny (it had singing in it) and had a hard time getting into the storyline. I have listened to a few or her books and like the others.
