I always like a story when characters from different backgrounds meet and find they have more in common than they think they ever would, and end up helping each other out. The "chemistry" (haha) between the characters was good and she did a good job writing, however I didn't give it more stars because I didn't like all the crude language in it, I understand why it did, but it is young adult and thought it was too much.

I feel a bit weird that I didn't like this book since a lot of people have. I haven't even finished it. The story line was slow, I didn't get the chemistry of the two main characters. I was just waiting and waiting to see if I would like it more, I will finish it however I am not motivated too. bummer.

I have listened/read Julie Garwood books before and have really liked them. But this one I was expecting more out if it and was a little disappointed. Maybe it had to do with the narrator who I didn't enjoy on this one.

A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light.” But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice.

I liked this book enough to finish it, to see how it all played out, but did anyone else find her love interests roll in the book...a little..um..creepy?? I bought the series on a three for two sale so I will finish them all but I don't know what to think about it. I felt she should like the more human male, but I guess she isn't ALL human, so we shall see I guess. The narrator was ok but she did have a ten pack a day kind of voice.

Victorian romance mixes seamlessly with elegant prose and biting wit—and werewolves—in Gail Carriger’s delightful debut novel. Soulless introduces Alexia Tarabotti, a parasol-wielding Londoner getting dangerously close to spinster status. But there are more important things than finding a husband. For Alexia was born without a soul, giving her the ability to render any vampire or werewolf completely powerless.

I tried several times to get into this book. I don't know whether it was the narrator or what but I thought the story line lacked. I usually know if I will like a book with in the first few chapters and I just didn't like the main character so I knew it wasn't going to be my favorite. I finished, but I was like eeh it was alright.

It was a good storyline, but when it said it was like outlander, it missed the mark. I wanted more substance from the main two characters. Her and the irish man character had more development and story than the romance part of the book did. It was slow and I did finish it so I at least gave it three stars.

Dean Robillard is the Chicago Stars' hotshot quarterback. Not only does he have lightening reflexes on the field, he is also utterly gorgeous. First seen in the critically acclaimed Match Me If You Can, Dean is trying to recover (both mentally and physically) from a shoulder injury by taking a road trip.
