I loved the first book in this series. This book was even better! It's adventure and mystery. It's also appropriate for all ages. I understand why it is endorsed by the Sherlock Holmes people. It's a great story about what events happened in Sherlock's teen years that shaped him into the great detective that he becomes.

I know that the title says "for Young Men." However, the advice that is given by Mr. Ryle is excellent advice for ALL people. Mr. Ryle uses tons of scripture to make his points. The book was written in the 1800's, but the writing is very easy to read and understand. The advice is also very Godly and relevant in any generation. I will read/listen this one again and will pass it on to the young people in my life.

I anxiously awaited the release of this book. I've listened to all of Mr. Rubart's other books, with Rooms being my favorite. I love hearing Mr. Rubart narrate his own books. I think he does a great job!

I was disappointed in this book. It is about spiritual warfare, but it goes to a level that is beyond my comfort zone or doctrinal beliefs. Mr. Rubart did try to use scripture throughout the book to back up the plot, but it didn't work for me because I felt that they were taken out of context. After listening to the author's note at the end of the book, I understand why he did things as he did in his book. He made some valid points about how numbed or blinded we are in today's society towards the spiritual stuff going on around us. I just didn't like how he chose to manifest that awareness in this book. His characters travel into people's souls. Now, they were there to do good, but I felt that what they were doing was part of the Holy Spirit's job.

I would suspect that if you are a person who liked "The Shack" you will probably like this book. I hated "The Shack" so much that I refused to finish it. I won't be listening to any more books in this series. The topic presented as it was just doesn't interest me.

I have both this Bible and the dramatized one. I like this one much better. I find this one easier to navigate than the dramatized version. Here is how the books are arranged:

If you are looking for a specific chapter, each chapter is it's own "chapter" and when you select a chapter it will always tell you what book you are in. For example, if I download part 8 and I want to listen to Psalm 139, it is in chapter 64. When I press "play" it will begin with the words "Psalm 139." It is nice that it always tells you what book you are in!

The narrator isn't the most exciting, but he does a decent job and I don't mind listening to him. It is nice to have an audio version to listen to from time to time. I am very appreciative of people who have taken the time to read the Bible for audio (especially since they have to pronounce all of those names!!)

This is the 3rd installment in the Jaguar Stones series. There is a new narrator this time around, but he still did an excellent job. This is a great series for kids, although I'm an adult and I enjoy it, too. Is is funny and it's hard to put it down. Lots of humor that the kids will enjoy. I highly recommend it!

The true issue is not "What Would Jesus Do?" but "What Think Ye of Christ?"
I loved this book when I was in high school 25 years ago, but after reading it again this week, I can honestly say it's not on my list of books to re-read ever again. I felt the premise of the book was based on works, not on who Christ is and what He did. I don't think the book focused enough on Christ's life and example as shown to us in the Gospels. The characters would have thought and acted differently if they had actually followed Christ's example. As I said, the more important question is "What Think Ye of Christ?" That's just my opinion.

I loved this third installment of "The Walk." If you have read the first two books, I highly recommend this story! I really enjoyed Alan's journey and his growth or healing.

I really liked this book! It was similar to Austenland in that it was set in an Austenland estate, but the cast, characters, and circumstances were very different. This book made me laugh out loud in several points. I don't think I've read a Shannon Hale book that I have disliked and I'm glad that this one didn't disappoint! I recommend it highly!

This is the third Charles Martin book that I've read. I thoroughly enjoyed the other two, I didn't enjoy this one as much. Well, I enjoyed the ethics, morals, and values of the Texas Rangers and cowboys, but I really didn't like the female adult characters in this book. I really didn't think that either one was worth hanging around. Neither woman truly understood Ty, they both wanted to change him.

I really loved this story! The characters are great. I really liked Sage and Mott. It had a great twist at the end and I can't wait until the next book comes out! This is an adventurous, clean story for all ages. I'm excited to add this book to my classroom library and share it with my students!
