Loved this book. I like the narrator's accent. Great performance. Best book of the series. Can't wait for Sam's book.
I started the series with Ian's story and had to back track. I didn't like any of the books as well as Ian's book. However, this is worth a credit. One of the cons of listening to the book is that I noticed the annoying trend of phrases being used over and over. "He shook his head" must have been used 200 times!
Stayed up longer than I should have listening to a book I had already read. The narration was so good and the story even better. Loved this production so much.
The romance story started getting on my nerves. It was too much angst. Move it along or move on!
I have spent the night listening to the awesome narration of this book. The accents, the emotion, the stunning story, and romance kept me way longer than I had intended. I was not sure I wanted to do an historical but Pamela Clare's I-Team series has been my favorite of the summer. So, I decided to go for it with my free credit. Love, Love, Love the narrator! His voice and the story made this an excellent choice.
Love, Love, Love Kaleo Griffith's narration of this series. Please don't change the narrator!I have listened to all of the books and absolutely love his Julian D'angelo! Love all of the stories. The details in each book are outstanding. Ms. Clare's writing so sparked my interest that I researched the Sonoran desert and Navajo people. Now that's good writing. I loved that fact that the hero questioned his morality and life style choices and made changes for his love. Great story!
Why, Why did they change the narrator? When I listen to several books in a series by the same narrator, I become accustomed to the narrators way of speaking. I loved Harry Berkeley's Rio. I loved his Sam and all of the other characters, even the women. The new narrator is probably very good, but to have him start in the middle of a series is just wrong! It would be like having a different narrator read the JD Robb books. I don't understand!
I hope that Harry Berkeley is available for Forged in Steele!
Tried to listen all the way through, just couldn't. The narrator's voice was so annoying to me. I had considered buying this book on my Kindle, but decided to get it as an audible. Maybe it would have been better in print.
Hated, hated, hated the southern accent. OMG! Horrible! And please let Nick do something worse than hang up his clothes. He is too good to be true even for a romance novel. I am starting to hate him! I have read and listened to all these books, and I need a more flawed hero! I actually like Sam, but I can't see her with Nick. They are turtle doves!UGH!
I have listened to this book three times and love it more each time. I want a grandson named Brooks. Love him!
Very similar to the female character in Chesapeake Blue, socially inept, but smart.
I have not listened to Julia Whelan before, but loved her subtle Southern accent. I am southern and hate it when the accent is overdone.
I have listened to the book over and over because I love it so much.
I have enjoyed the freedom that audible gives me. I can do my hosuework and still "read" at the same time. I love audible!
