The short stories in the collection are exceptionally well-matched to the gifted narrators. Each story is quite good on its own. As a collection, the whole is very powerful.
That said, there didn't seem to be a "theme" or oganizing principal for the stories nor was it immediately apparent that they were even by the same author.
As I noted above, this is a collection of short stories rather than "a" story. I might have enjoyed more if there were a more obvious theme.
The narrators sound perfectly matched to the stories they tell -which are typically narrated in a first-person. The sense they convey is that they are separate people - each sharing their own truth.
Because this is a collection of unrelated short stories, not sure how it could be converted to a movie.
I wish there were more available from same author, I would definitely use another "credit."
While nothing in this book may be startling, the author does a very good job of presenting her material and illustrating her ideas with the real-life experiences of patients from her practice. The audiobook is presented by the author, who has a tremendous voice and a real flare for presenting her mateiral. I've read the book and listened to the audiobook. I prefer the latter and think this audiobook has something to offer everyone who feels "stuck" or who wishes to change something in his or her life. One of the better self-help titles I've read or listened to!
