Daniel McEvoy has a problem. Well, really, he has several, but for this Irish ex-pat bouncer at a seedy, small-time casino, the fact that his girlfriend was just murdered in the parking lot is uppermost in his mind. That is until lots of people around him start dying, and not of natural causes. Suddenly, Daniel’s got half the New Jersey mob, dirty cops, and his man-crazy upstairs neighbor after him, and he still doesn't know what's going on.

John's Irish accent and spot-on inflections made this hero bigger than life! The author takes the reader/listener on a roller coaster ride with interesting characters, especially the one in the hero's head.

When hunters from around the world gather in Las Vegas for a conference, a creature left over from a World War Two weapons experiment wakes up and goes on a rampage across the desert. A not-so-friendly wager between the rival companies turns into a race to see who can bag the mysterious creature first. Only there is far more to this particular case than meets the eye, and as Hunters fall prey to their worst nightmares, Owen Zastava Pitt and the staff of Monster Hunter International have to stop an ancient god from turning Sin City into a literal hell on earth.

Once again, Larry Correia has taken us on a wild ride with Owen, Julie, Earl and the rest of MHI. All the characters have grown and evolved throughout the series and more of Owen's past is revealed, making each book fresh and unpredictable. I found myself laughing out loud and gasping in surprise as I listened. The only bad thing is having to wait for the next book in the series...guess I just have to listen to them all over again until then!

The reader slipped in a few places, using the wrong character voice, otherwise I would have given 5 stars throughout. Regardless, Wyman is pitch perfect in inflection, timing and character personality.

Warning: You MUST read this series in order!!

A heartwarming tale of terror in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. Meet Sarah and David. Once upon a time, they met and fell in love. But now they’re on the verge of divorce and going to couples’ counseling. On a routine trip to their counselor, they notice a few odd things: the lack of cars on the highway, the missing security guard, and the fact that their counselor, Dr. Kelly, is ripping out her previous client’s throat. Meet the zombies....

This story had me from the beginning! A couple are on their way to their marriage counselor without much hope of resurrecting their relationship and find their counselor is not quite herself. The main characters are determined to work together to survive, using whatever is available (such as a toilet seat as a weapon). The reader captured the nuances of character and plot beautifully.
