  • The Earth Will Shake: The Historical Illuminatus Chronicles Vol. I

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 7 mins)
    • By Robert Anton Wilson
    • Narrated By Scot Crisp

They have been with us throughout the ages: the "Invisible College" of wisdom and their adversaries, the destroyers. Naples, Italy, circa 1764: A young aristocrat is about to stumble onto one piece of the great pattern. As witness to a vicious assassination and victim of his passion for the beautiful daughter of his enemy, young Sigismundo Celine is forced to begin a mystical odyssey amidst an ageless clash of Freemasons, Mafia, and the Illuminati.

Kamal says: "A powerful start to the series"

the narrator made this audiobook totally unbearable.. I would loved to have finished it. but I could not stand the guy monotone reading of the story. So I have no idea if the book is any good guess I'll buy the book and just read it myself.

  • Blasphemy

    • UNABRIDGED (13 hrs and 50 mins)
    • By Douglas Preston
    • Narrated By Scott Sowers
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

The world's biggest supercollider is locked in an Arizona mountain. The Torus was built to unlock the secrets of the very moment of creation: the Big Bang itself. Will the Torus divulge the mysteries of the creation of the universe? Or will it, as some predict, suck the earth into a mini black hole? Or is the Torus a Satanic attempt, as a powerful televangelist decries, to challenge God Almighty on the very throne of heaven?

    Mary R says: "Enthralling!"
"Freaking awesome. I love this story."

Together as the Preston and Child team. Or on there own. Like Child's "Deep Storm" book. Or this book "Blasphemy" by Preston. These guys know how to tell great and smart storys.

Great book. Thank you Mr. Preston.

  • The Darkest Evening of the Year

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 9 mins)
    • By Dean Koontz
    • Narrated By Kirsten Kairos
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Amy Redwing has dedicated her life to the Southern California organization she founded to rescue abandoned and endangered golden retrievers. Among dog lovers, she's a legend for the risks she'll take to save an animal from abuse. Among her friends, Amy's heedless devotion is often cause for concern. To widower Brian McCarthy, whose commitment she can't allow herself to return, Amy's behavior is far more puzzling and hides a shattering secret.

Fred says: "Dean's got his groove back"
"I hate leaving a Koontz review like this"

But I was so very disappointed. I think he's just cranking out stuff now. Not like the old days " the bad place" from the corner of his eye" etc where you got engrossed with the characters and the story.. They (his newer work) just fill incomplete, rushed and flat to me.
I'm a huge Koontz fan. And it hurts to leave a review like this.
wish he would concentrate on just one good story a year.

  • Waking Lazarus

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 3 mins)
    • By T. L. Hines
    • Narrated By Tom Stechschulte

Jude Allman has actually died and come back to life - three times. Haunted by paranoia and fearful that life has no purpose or meaning, Jude lurks behind locked doors. But when his heightened senses detect immanent death, Jude tries to rescue the captive prey of a fiendish pedophile.

Barry says: "I LOVE THIS BOOK!"

This was just an incredible story. T.L. Hines is now up there in my top 3 with Dean Koontz, and H.P. Lovecraft. Cant wait for his next book.

  • The Society of S: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 30 mins)
    • By Susan Hubbard
    • Narrated By Joyce Bean

Ariella Montero is seeking the true identities of her mother - and father and of herself. She's been taught literature, philosophy, science, and history, but she knows almost nothing about the real world and its complexities. Her world is one in which ghosts and vampires commune with humans, where Edgar Allan Poe and Jack Kerouac are role models, and where every time a puzzle seems solved, its last piece changes the entire picture.

    M. S. Cohen says: "Wonderful premise, horrible story, bad end"
"I wanted to like it but its boring"

If you like stories based off the diary of a 13 year old vegetarian vampire girl. Then you will love this book : (

very slow, boring and unsatisfying . I tried to like it but....
