I would never Mistake a Tim Dorsey Novel for a Hiaasen! If anyone does they are not paying attention. Mr. Dorseys characterizations are so wild and wacky they could be real, but only if you believe that truth is stranger than fiction.
If you are offended easily or dont like creative killings, this is not for you.
If you have said "i have a sense of humor and this is not funny", this is not for you.
If you believe that freedom of speech should only go so far, this is not for you.
Any or all of Tim Dorseys books will make just about anybody with a real sense of humor smile and cringe and spit milk out of your nose while you say i can see that as a newspaper story.
I can see the writer sitting and chuckling to himself as he writes the silly dialog, except its not very funny or ironic. i quickly got sick of the Australian BS, and it gets worse as the book progresses.
this book needed to be professionally edited and perhaps more research done.
This is not really a Zombie story. Zombies are in the background of this story, but like most Series it always ends up the same way.
"The real threat is from the Living!"
I came for the Wit, Dialog and Action,
but this book offers less of that and more Philosophizing and Sermons!
This is still a Good book, but not a Great book like "Dead Six"!
Awesome story and Unbelievable reading!
Its dark ops with a great Dark sense of humor.
I liked MHI, but this is actually Better!
I Cant Believe Bronson Pinchot is Such a Great reader, Blown Away!
This story frustrated me almost as much as when a girl falls down while being chased by a maniac!
After the bad guys attempt to kill the dad and threatens the family, they let the bad guys go.
Was i the only one that read what happen to the dad prior to the bad guy encounter?
I dont think the author is a dad, because there was no excuse for the dad not to end the threat immediately. I hated the author and the book at that point.
Way to far out of the realm of what is a Zombie, he should have called them something else. The author thinks he is funny, but is only mildly funny. This book could be so much better with some good editing.
This is one of the Top Three Audiobooks i have ever experienced. A really great story, with totally believable dialog and topped off with an exceptional read!
(Scene opens as camera pans across the room and stops on an old rotary phone)
Ring, Ring, Ring
(unknown hand picks up phone and listens)
"Hello this Carl, i wrote a new book."
(Working Title, "Carls phones it in")
I generally enjoy A. Lee Martinez books, this has been my favorite along the lines of Gil's All Fright Diner. One thing that makes this books so enjoyable is the Reader, Scott Aiello. He did an exceptional job.
Funny, riveting, great reader, Wonderful monster story! I will listen to this one over and over again.
