The plots have gotten more complex - I really enjoyed this book.
Loved this book. I am a big fan of Dick Francis. So sorry that this author has passed. Hope his son will continue the great stories.
The first half of the book was very confusing. I only hung on because I have loved her other Mary Russell offerings. The second half did improve but as a whole, this was my least favorite volume.
I really enjoy this series of Sherlock Holmes spinoffs. Mary Russell is a fabulous character and the perfect match for the famous detective. The reader captures the tone of the time and does the various voices believably.
Had some trouble with staying interested in all the detail in this book. I usually like these authors but this story drug on a little too long.
This reader was perfect for the story. Good story. Will really miss this author.
her reading of this book ruined it for me. This is a very interesting, high energy, suspensful book but the reading just missed the mark.
It was a bit hard to get into but got better as it went on. Quite original and liked the main character more and more.
Very disappointed - it was confusing and boring - had to force myself to finish.
The story may be good but the reader is awful. I was looking forward to this "catch up" book in the Amelia Peabody series but not sure I can even finish it. Barbara Rosenblat was such an outstanding reader, having the ability to sound like all the characters. And why on earth didn't they AT LEAST get someone with a British accent???
Amelia and her family are from England, NOT America.
