First, the unthinkable: a security breach at a secret U.S. government facility unleashes the monstrous product of a chilling military experiment. Then, the unspeakable: a night of chaos and carnage gives way to sunrise on a nation, and ultimately a world, forever altered. All that remains for the stunned survivors is the long fight ahead and a future ruled by fear—of darkness, of death, of a fate far worse.

What made the experience of listening to The Passage the most enjoyable?

The story moves along very well. It is not a cheesy vampire novel but a hard hitting look at what can go wrong with germ warfare.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Peter and or Amy. They grow so much during the story.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narrator was good and I would listen to them again.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Don't want to spoil it for others....

    Well worth the credit!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

At this point this is a classic business book. Some of the stories are a little out of ture with modern standards, but the information is good.

Would you recommend How to Win Friends & Influence People to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes. Good information about how to communicate with others is always helpful.

What three words best describe Andrew MacMillan’s performance?

    Clear, well spoken, and timely.

Did How to Win Friends & Influence People inspire you to do anything?

Work on making other feel they are running the conversation

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes if they have a credit to kill and some interest in Drones

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The most was the information on ant's.

    Which scene was your favorite?

battle in the desert and safe house.

Do you think Kill Decision needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

This book was set up to be a series. I would hope the next book is a little less main stream and a little edgy.

    Any additional comments?

This book was a little soft comp aired to the other Daniel Suarez books. The information was good but it did not develop into a hard hitting tech novel. It is good but seemed more like a Clive Cussler story, which again is not bad just not a solid as his other work.

Thousands of autonomous computer programs, or daemons, make our networked world possible, running constantly in the background of our lives, trafficking e-mail, transferring money, and monitoring power grids. For the most part, daemons are benign, but the same can't always be said for the people who design them.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would and have recommended this book. It moves at a good pace. The tech information is not to over the top but leaves you saying WOW. Having 14+ years in IT I found the information refreshingly accurate. (For tech people think of seeing fake IP address you know don’t work) only in this book it is correct.

What other book might you compare Daemon to and why?

This book runs the same lines as Robopocalypse by Daniel H. Wilson.

What does Jeff Gurner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Jeff does a good job with changing voices and making the characters come to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book will leave you with a WOW when your finished.

    Any additional comments?

This book is the first in a series. Be ready to be sucked into all three. It is like a vortex of time.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

    The story of "Lost"

From the best-selling author of How We Decide comes a sparkling and revelatory look at the new science of creativity. Shattering the myth of muses, higher powers, even creative “types”, Jonah Lehrer demonstrates that creativity is not a single gift possessed by the lucky few. It’s a variety of distinct thought processes that we can all learn to use more effectively. Lehrer reveals the importance of embracing the rut, thinking like a child, daydreaming productively, and adopting an outsider’s perspective.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

good work over all by the narrator.

It was a book of how people accomplished issues not based on character development.

They're an iconic part of history's most celebrated birth. But what do we really know about the Three Kings of the Nativity, besides the fact that they followed a star to Bethlehem bearing strange gifts? The Bible has little to say about this enigmatic trio. But leave it to Seth Grahame-Smith, the brilliant and twisted mind behind Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies to take a little mystery, bend a little history, and weave an epic tale.

Yes. I like to hear different points on history even if they are face or fiction.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I liked that it was a play on the bible stoy but thought it was a little cheeky in the ending.

Have you listened to any of Peter Berkrot’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    He was good.

Do you think Unholy Night needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No I believe it was a good one off. They could take on other bible story's but with different actors.

    Story
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book was all people were talking about at a recent BBQ (mostly the wives and girls). I'm open minded and love a good story and if it is well written I can listen to most anything for a while. This is or was one of the few book I could not just sit and listen to. The writing is very poor and very repetitive. I get it. I get the story and the main guy was hot but to keep saying it over and over got very distracting.

What do you think your next listen will be?

No the second book in this series.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator was not all that bad. I believe it was the writing.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Fifty Shades of Grey?

The non stop expressing how hot Mr gray is. Okay we get it.

    Any additional comments?

The book is just not to my liking. I'm guessing by the number of sales other love it. I just do not believe it was well written.

In Amped, people are implanted with a device that makes them capable of superhuman feats. The powerful technology has profound consequences for society, and soon a set of laws is passed that restricts the abilities - and rights - of "amplified" humans. On the day that the Supreme Court passes the first of these laws, 29-year-old Owen Gray joins the ranks of a new persecuted underclass known as "amps." Owen is forced to go on the run, desperate to reach an outpost in Oklahoma where, it is rumored, a group of the most enhanced amps may be about to change the world - or destroy it.

This was a great book for a long road trip (TX-CA) The story was pretty good and the pace was quick and full of information.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

    Kinda predictable

What does Robbie Daymond bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The reader was good. I would listed to another book by him.

Did Amped inspire you to do anything?

I will listed to other books from this author and reader.

This is a quick listen but I would have liked a little more detail on the tech side.
