I could not refrain from reviewing this new classic from King. Briefly, this book was fantastic due to:
1. Narration: Wonderful voice, perfect inflections.. The character switches were smooth, and you could easily identify multiple characters by the voice change. Mr. Wasson is one of the best.
2. Story Grab: The story got me early and kept me the whole ride.
3. Character development: Before this book was complete, you do feel like you know these characters. One of King's best efforts in this regard.
4. Story itself. A great concept, with just enough twists and turns to keep you on your feet. Time travel is a new kick for King, and he handled it very well. I will admit I had been very disappointed with some of King's recent works, but this proves he still has a lot of gas left in the tank.
I highly recommend giving this listen a chance, you will not be disappointed.
I have to agree with the other reviewer in saying that words escape me with this book. Apparently, they escaped the author as well. Was a definite waste for me.
I love audio books, but I have to be reeled in within the first 15 to 20 minutes or I lose interest and move on to the next one. This series caught me from the beginning and I haven't looked back. I am looking forward to the third book to see how everything is tied together.
