I listened to this on my mobile phone in the audible ap, and saw out of the corner of my eye, that the picture kept changing to match the story. The description does say that it is an enhanced audio format, but I didn't realize that, until I realized the pictures went along with the story.
Also, it was just over 2 minutes long, the details say 1 minute.
Overall, a pleasant surprise.
This interview did exactly what a promo like this should do - it made me interested in Nancy and her writing. I would love to support a young, intelligent author.
Unfortunately, her publisher has put the audiobook at a price point that I wouldn't normally pay for a long story/short novelette.
I am glad I decided to come back and revisit some of my earlier purchases. I was pleasantly surprised when I played this story on my Android phone, in the Audible ap, to find illustrations that accompany the story!
The First Listen is an excerpt from Steve Martin's Pure Drivel. I wonder, is this like a movie preview, where the best parts are actually all shown in the preview? I think the title is pretty concise.
It made me think a little of a radio morning show. A few people sitting in a room, talking about whatever, and sometimes it might be funny.
This was the first thing that made me ask, "Is there an option to delete something I don't care for from my library?"
One of the best.
Stephen King can get drawn out, he is very wordy at times. This shorter format, however, is absolutely perfect. He has a great imagination, producing interesting stories and characters. Without having the room to get overly detailed, The Breathing Method is about as good as it gets! Highly recommended.
