    • By Harlan Coben
    • Narrated By Scott Brick
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Tia and Mike Baye never imagined they'd become the type of overprotective parents who spy on their kids. But their 16-year-old son, Adam, has been unusually distant lately, and after the suicide of his classmate, Spencer Hill they can't help but worry. They install a sophisticated spy program on Adam's computer, and within days they are jolted by a message from an unknown correspondent addressed to their son: "Just stay quiet and all safe."

Meanwhile, Betsy Hill is struck by a photo that appears to have been taken on the night of her son's death...and he wasn't alone.

  • Girls of Riyadh: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 38 mins)
    • By Rajaa Alsanea
    • Narrated By Kate Reading
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

In her debut novel, Rajaa Alsanea reveals the social, romantic, and sexual tribulations of four young women from the elite classes of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Originally released in Arabic in 2005, it was immediately banned in Saudi Arabia because of the controversial and inflammatory content, though black-market copies circulated widely.

    Kathy Daniels says: "Fantastic Book"

Ok this was a bit like a sisterhood of the traveling Saudi . It was enjoyable but didn't quite cut it. i love books about the "eastern" cultures...I can't put my finger on it ..but this didn't quite cut it.

  • Dear Zoe: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (4 hrs and 52 mins)
    • By Philip Beard
    • Narrated By Cassandra Morris

Beard's stunning debut is an epistolary novel written from 15-year-old Tess DeNunzio to her little sister Zoe. After Zoe's accidental death on September 11, 2001, a day so many others died, Tess' family is numbed by their personal tragedy. Already acutely aware of her odd place in a home where her mother and stepfather now have children of their own, Tess begins her letter as a means of figuring out her own life, from her two-hour-a-day hair and makeup ritual to her complicity in Zoe's death.

    "keeps you listening."

I bought this on a whim. I was very impressed with the she really a teenager? Also the fact that this was written by a man....he is so intuned to a teenage girl's angst..I find this unbelievable. Any way the book hooked me from the just don't want to stop the car! It's sweet ,and sad. I don't know what I'd say about reading it...I trully think the narrator made this a great "listen". Get it. It's short and sweet and you will LOVE it.

  • Say Goodbye

    • UNABRIDGED (13 hrs and 11 mins)
    • By Lisa Gardner
    • Narrated By Ann Marie Lee, Lincoln Hoppe

For Kimberly Quincy, FBI Special Agent, it all starts with a pregnant hooker. The story Delilah Rose tells Kimberly about her johns is too horrifying to be true; but prostitutes are disappearing, one by one, with no explanation, and no one but Kimberly seems to care.

KSK says: "Not for the faint of heart"
"keep you reading or listening all night"

this was a great book!! Disturbing...but anybody who loves thrillers would love it. It was one of the best I've listened to, of late as far as keeping you with the earpiece in your ear...all day.
Lisa Gardner is a new author to me...but I'm now a fan. "Hide" was a great read..and this book is the first I've listened to.
The different characters make it easy to follow and the Narration is perfect for this story!
    listen to it....!

  • The Killing Hour

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 49 mins)
    • By Lisa Gardner
    • Narrated By Anna Fields

A serial killer watches and waits. Each time, he takes two victims, preparing the first's body with all the clues the police need to find the second, who is still alive. The clock ticks, and the second one can still be saved. But the police never make it in time. The second one dies. For years, the killer has plagued the city with the same pattern, but the police never pick up on it quickly enough.

Mina Brown says: "Captivating--it hooks you!"
"love the author...can't take the narrator"

I LOVE this author!! however, I'm finding it tough to get through this book on audio..thinking of buying the paperback....her voice is so monotonous....doesn't change a bit between characters, or situations. I find myself rewinding because I'm spacing out. It's never happened with any other book.
Just finished "say goodbye" was awesome! kept me listening into the night.
I think this story will be just as good but I now know a narrator can make all the difference.

  • Nineteen Minutes

    • UNABRIDGED (21 hrs and 10 mins)
    • By Jodi Picoult
    • Narrated By Carol Monda
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Jodi Picoult delivers the riveting tale of one small town's entanglement with high-school violence.

New York Superior Court Judge Alex Cormier is assigned to preside over the case of the alleged Sterling High School shooter. Lawyer Jordan McAffee represents Peter, the boy who, on the day of the shooting, was found in the corner of the gymnasium holding a gun to his head with a shaky hand. Detective Patrick DuCharme has one star witness, but her story keeps changing. And then there's the biggest problem of all: the star witness happens to be Judge Cormier's daughter.

    Suze says: "Mesmerizing"
    "nineteen minutes"

This is a must read for any parent..whether your children are little or old. When my kids were born, I always remembered a kid that was picked on. when you have's not always something you can see. I always wondered what it would be like to have a child that was picked on like so many that I remember from high school.
How do you know whether they'll be "cool" or dorks. we like them sensitive when they're young, and personally I'd like to keep them that way. I remember too many kids who didn't deserve their abuse.
As a parent you want them to be middle road..but even with middle road, pressures are there.
my children are young..and I still fear their quest for popularity over being a "good " person.Just reinforce this in your kids and READ this book.
