Distracting narration really left me unable to continue. Also 2 credits is pretty gutsy after Out of the Dark which was horrible. David Weber has really been dropping in my estimation.

Well I wasn't going to buy this as the change of narrator is too jarring. It would be like CBS changing Tom Selleck to another actor in the last season of Magnum PI. But since I see that James Marsters is back for book 14 I am ready to give it a go and just assign the narration to his death. I hope that publishers get that changing a narrator is something that should only be done in the direst of circumstances. Also the proper pronunciations of names and places is critical. I am looking at you David Weber! Amongst others.

I have never finished this novel despite The Mote in God's Eye being my favorite novel. I don't know if it was my extremely high expectations or I was just judging it too harshly. Well I listened to this and I really enjoyed it and found it to be a decent sequel to "The Mote" I think the reader "who was excellent" really brought the novel to life and greatly enhanced the experience. So thanks Audible I am really glad I listened to this. Well Done!
