From the luxuries of court to the last gory years of the outsize King Henry, when heads rolled and England trembled, Catherine bestrode her destiny and survived to marry her true love. She was the least known of Henry VIII's six wives, but the cleverest of them all.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

What do you expect me to say? Re-write the book?

The story as such is dragging along. Even though I love the topic - Henry VIII - I fell asleep quickly. But as I know the background well, I could just keep listening till I finally got through.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The book failed to present high lights. Everything was watered down to "and then and then and then".

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Terry Donnelly?

I found it difficult to listen to the reader and every time I got on to the story, I had to learn to overhear her strange diction. The ongoing raised voice at the end of the sentence and the way she spoke in her head was annoying me. I will surely not buy anything read by her again.

Did The Last Wife of Henry VIII inspire you to do anything?

Yes, forget about the author as a history book writer.
And I keep the reader in mind to never buy anything read by her again.
