It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

What did you love best about The Book Thief?

The book was great from start to finish.

What does Allan Corduner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The reader was just right. The change in his voice for each character was done so well without being disruptive.

    Any additional comments?

Not saying too much ....just listen to it!

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

    ""a well crafted book""

If you could sum up Gone Girl in three words, what would they be?

Well crafted book. An acquaintance coined that phrase. That summed it up. A little sketchy ending but I'm hoping it was because she had yet another underhanded idea. Enjoyed the readers as well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Loved all the characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Trust no one...still.
