I can't decide if i liked book 1 or 3 better. I'm downloading book 4 now and i'm ready to continue right away. Especially after the ending of book 3. I'm kind of surprised because i'm more into epic sword and sorcery books.

So, i'm still loving the series, but the first half (and know as a guy i'm not really into romance novels) is almost pure love story. There's no geatuitious sex and it's still "G" rated, but I knocked off a star for the lengthy romance part. Still, it is an entegrial part of the story. I was more interested in the action and adventure and the rest of the book holds true. I'm starting book 3 now. Oh, and btw the narration remains to be excellant!

The last thing teenager Kelsey Hayes thought she'd be doing over the summer was meeting Ren, a mysterious white tiger and cursed Indian prince! When she learns she alone can break the Tiger's curse, Kelsey's life is turned upside-down. The unlikely duo journeys halfway around the world to piece together an Indian prophecy, find a way to free the man trapped by a centuries-old spell, and discover the path to their true destiny.

I really enjoyed this book. It's about a young woman and her unexpected journey to India to help break a curse on a man who was changed into a tiger more than three hundred years ago. I was afraid that it might be a romance novel, and it is to an extent, but focuses more on their almost Indiana Jones like quest to break the curse. I enjoyed learning about India and would pause and google places and goddesses in India to better picture where in India they were and to learn about the Hindi god's and goddesses. I purchased the second book in the series right after finishing the first book. The narration was excellent! I will likely search for other books she has narrated because her narration is so pleasing to listen to and she does a great job at her creation and performance of other characters voices.

In a world scarred by an apocalyptic past, evoking a time both 2,000 years past and 2,000 years into the future, untold thousands gather for a crusade. Among them, two men and two women are ensnared by a mysterious traveler, Anasûrimbor Kellhus - part warrior, part philosopher, part sorcerous, charismatic presence - from lands long thought dead. The Darkness That Comes Before is a history of this great holy war, and like all histories, the survivors write its conclusion.

The narrator speaks so fast you can't folow the book. I listened for a time at 1/2X just to try to follow the story, but I can't get through a book that way. I can't really rate the book, it might actually be good. I just really didn't like the narrator...

Russian lit can be a bit different. I don't think this was translated well. There is a lot that goes on in the story, but it's a lot about nothing. The narrator has great voices for characters, but the main character's voice is dull and not read with any feeling. I managed to finish it, but overall was dissapointed.

I got this book because a few reviews said if you like John Ringo, you'll like this. Well, it was ok. I listened to the whole thing, but it wasn't very developed and the story is a little weak and out there. I doubt I'll listen to the others unless it's on sale. Save your credit.

It all began with Ragnarok, with the Children of the Light and the Tarnished ones battling to the death in the ice and the dark. At the end of the long battle, one Valkyrie survived, wounded, and one valraven - the steeds of the valkyrie.

Because they lived, Valdyrgard was not wholly destroyed. Because the valraven was transformed in the last miracle offered to a Child of the Light, Valdyrgard was changed to a world where magic and technology worked hand in hand.
