"Kellerman Doesn't Play Fair."
Same old plot line, Alex and Milo visit the suspects. Much crucial information delivered just before the denouement. Most 'who done it?' fans like a more level playing field re. the clues.
"Very Disappointed"
A more complex plot and better character development.

Disappointment
If Mr. Deaver wished to write about what music means and how it is obtained in today's world, he failed. He merely alluded to it. The chracters are blah. Even Dance and Rhyme are dull. One wonders whether Rhyme's brief appearance is an effort to spike the story. Unfortunately, it didn't work. The author didn't get into the villain's head; something he usually does brilliantly. This is not the Jeffery Deaver I know and love.
"Solid Gold"
This is an oldie but pure gold. Been a Rendell fan for years. This is one of the very best, and don't know how I missed it. I was riveted. Get it, you won't be sorry.
"A Classic"
The author's prose is excellent which is doubly impressive considering this is a translation from the Swedish. The narration is good. I wish I had the money to buy the film rights to this novel. It lends itself to film and I believe it would be a blockbuster. I fear this may be the kind of excellent novel which slips through the cracks. I hope that doesn't happen. All else is said in Raymond's articulate review.
"The Vision"
The negative remarks I wish to make about this novel are made by the author at the end of the story. Koontz also admits that this is an early work.
Audible should disclose the original print date of a novel. More importantly Audible should not charge full price for a novel which by the author's own admission is inferior to the body of his work. This is not trustworthy.
"Deja Vue"
In this novel, Mr. Kellerman reworks the plot of one of his most recent novels. The original is better.
Mr. Kellerman is a favorite writer of mine. There is little he's written that I haven't read, so I don't make these statements lightly. What has happened to our best mystery/thriller writers?
"Excellent"
Watch out. This book can hurt you. I'm usually able to maintain a suitable distance between myself and the true crime stories I read. However, when I finished this book, I went to the victim's website and cried my eyes out. Good luck.
