Before I ordered this book, I couldn't remember why I stopped buying Maya's books. Now I remember, most of the dialog and details are unnecessary. The Author constantly feels the need to repeat character names incessantly, even when only two characters are talking she adds their names to the conversation to the point that is so annoying. The chatter between girlfriends is unnerving and go on for ever. It's a shame because the stories are good, but the way it's written doesn't allow for a natural flow. You are never given the chance to just loose your self in the story.
A little repetitive but good. I couldn't wait for the second part. Definitely a page turner and one I'll go back to again and again.
I've tried to listen but have fallen asleep twice, I won't make it in the car with is one, I'll fall asleep on the road. There is absolutely no chemistry between the characters. It's unfortunate because I've read another short story from this Auther and it was good. Maybe it's the narrator?
I enjoyed this second installment and love the characters in this book just as much as I did in the first but the ending was odd and didn't make me want to rush for the next in the series.
I love this kind of take charge Man. The writer made the whole story flow nicely and I couldn't wait to read the next book in the series.
I found myself missing an edge or excitement in this story.
The sex is spicy but I had a hard time caring about these characters. I'm also not a big fan of a writer introducing me to so many other characters that I can't keep track and don't care to. There was lots of useless chatter between these side characters. It was almost like this book was a vehicle to promote the other books of the writer.
So disappointing, gave up a third of the way in. The story is the problem.
This book is totally vanilla so if you're looking for a hot book this one is not it. I prefer some hot scenes with my story.
I didn't like the narrator in the first book but the book was good so I pushed past it. Somehow she's worse in this book and I can't seem to get past it this time. Either the story is worse or she is, not sure maybe both.
I didn't notice as much useless chatter in the second of the series. This book is bereft of hotness do to the repetitive nature of conversations between the Men. OMG, how may times did Jace have to tell Ash he was there for him, that they " were family". OK already we get it, they are close. The way Ash tells Jose what he's going to do is so mechanical, there is nothing sexy about it.
