Best-selling author Robyn Carr pens a captivating tale from her Virgin River series in Paradise Valley. Rick Scudder joined the Marine Corps with high hopes, but left with a broken spirit and a shattered body. Pushing away everyone close to him, he forsakes the help of his surrogate father Jack and his longtime girlfriend Liz. Now Rick must find the strength to let Liz, who’s never given up on him, back into his heart.

What can I say other than great! Robyn Carr tells a story like no other and this series is wonderful. Therese Plummer is my favorite narrator and I am so glad she is doing this series. I wish audible would offer all of her books. I can't wait for the rest of this series and the Grace Valley series as well!

Skye Titan's wealthy father thinks he can still dictate his daughter's choice in men. Now widowed and a single mother, Skye isn't the yes-girl she once was. Especially since the love of her life is back in Texas after eight long years. He won't like the answers to the questions he's asking. About why she left him at the altar. And about her eight-year-old daughter.

    Overall

I agree with the other reviews, Susan Mallery has lost her way in this series. I am a huge fan and hoping the next book is better. The other problem for me is the narrator. She is beyond annoying. I want Therese Plummer back, at least if the book isn't up to par,Plummer makes it bearable. All in all, the story was a bit off-beat for me.

First comes love, then comes marriage...At least, that was Gracie's plan at the ripe old age of 14. She loved 18-year-old heartthrob Riley with a desperation that made her a town legend. Even now that she's all grown up, the locals in sleepy Los Lobos won't let her forget her youthful crush. And how can she, when she's face-to-face with Riley at every turn? The one-time bad boy has come back to town seeking respectability - but the sparks that fly between them are anything but respectable!

wjm says: "The end is missing"
    "Not her best but enjoying."
    Overall

I agree with another post, Gracie was a bit of a doormat and at times, she was bodering pathetic, but overall I enjoyed the book and Plummer is one of my favorite Narrators.
