"You have to be in the right mood."
The narrator and story take on a sarcastic humor in my opinion. I needed to take breaks from listening to this one, but did get through it.
"Nice light listen."
That it was an easy listen. I do have to admit that I am a sucker for romance and this book has that. Fun book!
"Totally took me off gaurd!"
I really enjoyed The Discovery of Witches (bk 1) and Shadow of Night (bk 2). I was unsure if I was really going to like the whole witches, demons, vampire bit but fell in love with the characters and did not want to stop listening.
I liked how she kept the voices interesting and enjoyable.
Would definitely get another book by Deborah Harkness.
"Love these "Hell's Eight" Cowboys!"
Isabelle was a great narrator! I was so happy to have a voice that I did not cringe at when listening. Once again, these men are amazing in the way they treat their women. I also love the models on the front cover of the books. What a nice visual.
"Wrong narrator - had to struggle through it."
The only reason I kept listening to this book is because I really like this series. I did not care for Lola's narration at all. I love the characters though and I will keep on listening to the rest of the series.
"Erotic Cowboys!"
Jason Adams was a huge change from Zoe Winslow and I almost stopped listening. I am glad I did not because the story line is great. It just takes a little time to warm-up to different narrators. Wish there were more "Hell's Eight" men in the world.
"Love Westerns!"
To tell the truth it took me a while to get into the story but once I was in; I did not want to stop listening. I find it hard to believe that men actually treated their women with the care and understanding that these "Hells Eight" men do. Zoe Winslow did a good job with narration. I am finding as I listen to the other books in this series - each book has had a different narrator which I think hurts the performance overall.
"Throws in your face dangers that are ever present."
Exercising solo (running) is something I thoroughly enjoy but will never under estimate what could be around the next corner or hiding in the thick underbrush. I really enjoy Nora Robert's stories and they always teach me something. She keeps me engaged in the story and makes me not want to turn it off. Love that in a book!
"Loved it!"
I really enjoyed listening to his voice.
It makes you remember why you ran in the first place. I think many people forget and then running becomes just another task to do on their long list. Barefoot running; very enjoyable but have only done 10 mile runs like this. I have noticed starting to feel fatigue and then not lifting my feet all the way up and ending up with a sprained/stubbed great toe. Ouch!
"Kept me interested all the way through."
I would recommend this audiobook. I liked that it is a story that teens and adults can enjoy.
"I really enjoyed this trilogy!"
This trilogy came at a great time in my life.
I liked Becca Battoe's voice, although her Latin/Mexican accent was not good.
Yes! I did not want to stop listening to this book and I did not want it to end.
LOVED IT!
