"Gingerbread Girl"
A nice straight forward drama, not the usual King build up or draw out. If I didn't know it was a King story to begin with I might think it belonged to someone else.
I have to wonder if he didn't just spend a length of time in the Florida keys since this is the second book that takes place there.
Well worth the read.
"Smokers"
I got this when it first came out and thought it was great. King should do another set of stories on smokers or non-smokers or sort-of-smokers, whatever that group is!
"Wind"
I found it entertaining which is why I ordered it. It was good but I wouldn't say great. Another chapter in an overall wonderful story.
"mediocre"
It was a good story with lots of potential but I thought to be a little "thin." There needed to be more description, more character development. But maybe this was written for a teen audience and too much information is boring.
"Duma Key"
An enjoyable SK novel I thought. A little weirdness, a little horror, and located in the keys.
Not as "heavy" a novel as his in the past or maybe I'm just getting older.
A nice listen.
"Dune-various readers"
Unabidged Dune is always a good listen but i liked George Guidall as the reader-version better. He has very good character inflection as a reader.
A long story certainly but well worth the listen. I first saw the movie in the 1980's which certainly would have ruined it for me if I'd read the book first but as it was made the book much better.
"I am Legend"
I liked it up to the ending. The character seemed more like the Heston version than the Smith version. The story was a little different than the two movie versions which was nice since I've seen them.
Well worth the listen!
