I really enjoyed this book at many levels. I found the core story of McDougall and the race very interesting, and the side material about the development of the "running Man" theory very interesting (but I am admittedly into science books and stories as a former biohemist, so not everyone migth find this as intersting). I have spoken to a few others who found McDougall's style a bit plodding, and I found some segments a bit long, but overall, the message and tone of the book is great, and I consider it a very worthy listen. And afterwards, you will probably do as I did, and throw out your Nikes, and buy a pair of Five Fingers. :^)
