New Year’s Eve, 1940, is unusual for the Paradine family. Departing from tradition, James Paradine makes a speech that changes the course of many lives. Valuable documents have disappeared. A member of the family has taken them. The culprit has until midnight to confess and return the papers. A few minutes after 12 James Paradine is dead. It is left to Miss Silver to disentangle the threads that bind the Paradine family in a strange web of dislike, hatred, and fear.

The Unfinished Clue is a clever and humorous murder mystery set at a British country estate in the 1930s. There, each of the invited guests, along with the victim's wife and the estate's staff members (the butler, the maids, the gardener), had good reason to hate the arrogant and abrasive victim. Sir Arthur Billington-Smith had successfully alienated each and every one of them.

If you are a fan of cozy British murder mysteries, then this is a book for you. Interesting characters, an intricate plot and I wasn't able to guess the murderer.

SuperFreakonomics challenges the way we think all over again, exploring the hidden side of everything with such questions as: How is a street prostitute like a department-store Santa? What do hurricanes, heart attacks, and highway deaths have in common? Can eating kangaroo save the planet? Levitt and Dubner mix smart thinking and great storytelling like no one else.

    "A Great Read!"

Following in the tradition of Freakonomics, this book also had some great examples from day to day life. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
