"Not quite Molly Harper, but not bad.."
If you are a fan of Molly Harpers books, then you will probably enjoy this one, the story is pretty good and has some of that familiar humor like Harpers books, but just not quite as good..the narrator is as always awsome..
"Took much focus on Vietnam"
The novel starts off great, i love the throw back to old hollywood, the last few hours of the book begin to feel like the story shifts too much to the psyche of the male lead character and the female lead becomes a typical desperate lady left in the lurch for my tastes. Overall i enjoyed this book, i have listened to it twice. But again, the shift in the story in the last few hours just lost my interest.
"Just okay.."
I think i would give the author one more try..
Okay, so the book starts off great, really great, you can see these characters in your minds eye and it is attractive..but as the story moves on I found the female lead to be a bit annoying and pathetic...I did like the story twists although they were not exactly shocking..but to me the book started off hot and ended with a wimper...so i gave it a 3 star rating..not sure if i will buy the next book in this series..
"Love some Cat and Bones..."
If you love the continuing story of cat and bones, buy this one and continue the love...if you are new to this series, start at the begining..
great paranormal romance..lots of action too..
"Breaks your heart.."
The book is read by the author and it just breaks your heart. Not aways easy to listen to, but so neccessary for her to tell this story..
"Drop the accent please!"
I really tried to like this book and to get into the "theme", but the accent for male lead was so silly it killed any kind of interest i had in the book..i think i made it about half way through and that was it for me..i honestly just found it all kind of silly..
"What a twisted web we weave.."
This was a great novel, lots of twists and turns, who do you believe, the language was strong so be prepared for that, this book will make a great movie..but i am sure the book will be better..
"As rich and full as ever.."
I truely did not think i was gonna like Rose Mae Lolly, but I do, I love her as much as all of the lead characters in Jackson's books. I recommend reading the earlier book God's In Alabama first, just to get a feel for these characters , it too is a wonderful book. Like all her books, you will be pulled in from the first few lines. Joshilyn's books are a truly sensory experience. Love them :)
"Grey is right, only a so so book.."
The narrator is not great, not as bad as others have said, but not great..and the writing of the book is not very impressive either, could easily have been writen by a high school kid..
yes, and i bet the writing would be better..
i bought this book to see what all the fuss was about, and yes it is seriously dirty, and yes it can be absorbing, but more often than not i found myself just trying to finish what i spent my money no for that reason and no other..
"Different but good.."
this is not the drama of my sisters keeper, but instead reads like true chick lit ..a good book for fans of chick lit readers..
