Summer's Path is the remarkable story of Don Newport, an engineer that comes face to face with his personal destiny under extraordinary circumstances. After losing his job and his health insurance, Don learns he has a terminal disease with only a few months left to live. On his death bed, he meets Robert, a brazen angel of death that promises to help Don with a graceful exit.

    "How much is cut away?"
    Overall

I really enjoyed this listen. I love listening to alternate beliefs. the healing of souls etc. There were abrupt turns here and there in the storyline and the end left you in the air. I can not help thinking that this is not the authors fault but that the book is ABRIDGED and essential parts of the story has been cut off!

Please provide us with a unabridged version of this book and of the books to come in this serie.

Like golfing, fishing, and gardening, knitting is an obsession. It's an activity fraught with guilt, frustration, over-optimism, sly deception, and compulsion, along with passionate moments of creative enlightenment - not to mention heaps of yarn you really think you'll knit someday. The first step toward recovery is getting help - and having a good laugh at your compulsion. At Knit's End is a wicked and wickedly funny fix for any knitter.

I have this book in paper format but get so frustrated with the chattiness and thought that the Audiobook would work better for me. Unfortunately it does not, I just can not like it. I did so want to like it but have failed miserably.

In this stunning sequel to The Golden Compass, the intrepid Lyra finds herself in a shimmering, haunted otherworld, Cittagazze, where soul-eating Specters stalk the streets and wingbeats of distant angels sound against the sky. But she is not without allies: twelve-year-old Will Parry, fleeing for his life after taking another's, has also stumbled into this strange new realm.

Geoffrey says: "The second book in a fantastic trilogy!"
    "Disturbing background music"
    Overall

I love the narrators on this book, they are doing a splendid job making this text come alive, I feel like on a theater, but with my eyes closed.
I do however find it very hard to hear what is being said when the background music is on.
In this book the music seemed to go on forever. I'd wish that the music would be before or after the narrators acting so I could relax and listen. Right now I have to really sit and concentrate on the voices to hear the story and that is to bad.
Cut away the music and it would be 5 stars.
