When it comes to books, I don't think fiction always as to be fiction, especially in the grip of a gifted writer.

What if a "Once in a Lifetime" could happen twice? Suffering from a past full of tragedy, Dahlia London's soul has been left completely shattered. Happily ever after is a far cry from reality in her world. But when she is reconnected with her past, the bonds that form are irrefutable. When River Wilde, lead singer of The Wilde Ones, comes back into Dahlia's life, the intensity that fires their relationship combined with underlying feelings that have never died lead her to believe she has met her soul mate.

Download Approved. Connected is emotionally engaging on all fronts. It’s a soul mate meeting, that doesn’t get a chance for connection until well after the first encounter. What some might call a slow start, I call some impressive attention paid to character development. By the end of the book there is a firm foundation in place for this being to a favorite series. This first book covers a ton of history, which spans a rather large chunk of time. Be warned, you don’t get to experience the romance until after the tragedy, and you should definately expect to be left hanging. Though you are not thrown head first into the mystery, you feel it as an undercurrent of what is to come. All of the supporting characters come alive throughout the telling… they are all tangled up (just the way I like it!). You get to enjoy multiple POVs, this aspect is brought out beautifully in the audio production using a narrator change about three fourths of the way through. Veronica Meunch and Christian Fox both put on an excellent performance. Kim Karr’s blog indicates a six book series for connections. Though I was able to review the teasers for Torn, I wasn’t able to locate a release date to post in this review. I find I’m an instant fan. I’m giddy with the desire to know the rest of the story. If the teasers are any indication, Torn going to deliver. I’m giving this one my highest marks.

Indy Savage is a former wild child (okay, maybe not so "former") and current used-bookstore owner. Lee Nightingale is a former bad boy and now runs a private investigation service. Toss together a quiet barista with a not-so-lawful side-business, a crazy Vietnam Vet, a pothead, a drag queen, family and friends who will not mind their own business, a few stun guns, and a bag of diamonds, and mix them all up with some shootings, a high-speed chase and car bombs exploding, then hang on for your first wild Rock Chick ride.

Highly anticipated this one on Audible, picked it up immediately. Kristen Ashley is on my top five favorite author list, so close to the SEP classics. This book comes before the dream man series, and its like a flash back and easy to see how much K.A.has grown into her own. I wish this series had been available earlier. This one features the super-hot Lee Nightingale, and Indy just cracks me up. I laughed out loud more than once. If you have already unwillingly set your expectations high, its ok you won’t be disappointed.

My future was about to be completely thrown off track because Della Sloane was under my skin, and I had to have her. I couldn’t ignore it anymore . . . I’d gotten close enough to her to see deeper. Della Sloane is not your average girl. Yearning to break free of her dark and sheltered past and the memories of the illness that claimed her mother, Della plans a solo road trip to experience real life on her own terms.

This was a classically awesome romance. I couldn't stop listening, and when it was over I wanted more. Della's tale breaks your heart. Though Woods without a doubt is beautiful, you are left with the feeling that the deep over the top emotional investment combined with the possessive desire to care for Della is definitely going to cause problems down the road. Della just comes across as a stronger character than Woods wants her to be. The only negative.. At least for me, I had a hard time falling for the "puppet demands" get you the VP office story line. None the less, it was a very good listen. I want more Sebastian York. He makes you hear SEXY!!

If you are not just over the Millionaire / Virgin story, this was, cute?… and STEAMY then STEAMY then a little more STEAMY. Along the lines of 50 Shades, but closer to Reflected in You – Yup I just skipped right over Bared to You. One major change……at least I think, Noah isn't a pilot by night. :) I like the addition of the double narration, this might have been what kept me interested. In places I had a swallow down a grimace at how immature Laine came across. Really….She saw herself as having an alter ego, for which in her internal dialog she referred to as double Agent Coochie…by the end it was a bit much for me personally. If you are into steamy hotness on every surface and just about every page, then you won’t blink an eye at using a credit for this one. One caution though, the ending was…. rather abrupt… along the lines of LaLaLa…“to be continued”… THE END!

This story is heart breaking and real. I have to concede the kind of tragedy presented in this story is bred from one of those top five fears, it makes you think “if this were me….” Elizabeth Louise performance puts you right into Kacey’s head. You get the emotions the author is presenting, and you understand them. I personally wasn't moved to cry, but I did connect with the wounded heart. The supporting characters were well developed and awesome. Thumbs up K.A. Tucker! The Publisher’s Summary is enough describe the story without completely giving it away, though seriously I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to guess the “explosive secret”. It’s a quick listen, I started and finished it within the same day. The price was under my $13 dollar credit use limit, so I purchased out right, and I do not regret it.

I don't think I have the words. There isn't another series out that truly compares to this one. It's an epic saga dream for the paranormal fan … and it really is EPIC! This edition (book 11) was worth every one of the seconds I watched the clock tick down until it was available. I'm sure I would have paid twice as much. Blay and Qhuinn FINALLY! If you had to stop and read this before hitting download, you my friend are going to need a plan! I suggest… count your money, get a full nights rest, then download book 1. You might as well be prepared to glue your ear buds in. I advise you to pace yourself, because you will not want it to end…. even eleven books later.

One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting. Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I've ever met in my life. He's the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I'm drawn to him as I've never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he's near, I need to remind myself that I am strong - but he is stronger.

I dug the story line, and based on the reviews was excited to begin. While I wasn't exactly looking for a deep-dive into the bi-polar condition, I anticipated the author would display a bit more subject matter knowledge. I found I wasn't able to engage to the extent I needed to be able to in order fully enjoy the story. While hot and packed with drama, I wanted more in respect to character relationship development. I never completely understood many of the characters actions, or the feelings that drove them to react to situations in the way that they did. While this story was ok, it just didn't quite do it for me. If I'm being honest, I almost didn't care enough to complete the last couple of chapters. That said, Charlotte Penfield knows her craft, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another narration from her.

It's been months since Brian Sinclair, lead guitarist for the famous rock band Sinners, composed anything. Holy Crap ... Living hard, living free, its one way to go about it I suppose. This book portrayed a lifestyle I'll never actually live. It was interesting to observe though, and I can totally get on board with a sexy guitarist. Geez, seriously parts of this one had me blushing, and I'm no light weight. I recall wondering how Justine O Keef did such a great job reading those words out loud, I mean she had to know others would hear. I would have been giggling like a school girl, like probably a kazillion takes worth of giggling. Hats off...
Random comment: I never did nail down a time frame for the setting... 80's 90's or now.

PS: Yup, I got book 2, and liked it too!

Laura Kinsale deals in tough, real life challenges, and this book is so beautifully crafted that you experience the characters emotions along with them. It almost forces you to bring out your own compassion, you feel the struggle as if it were through you eyes. I'm in awe of how well written it is. Flowers from the Storm is now on my top five list of great books, and I'm a romance worm. Though I though volume control poor in spots, Nicholas Boulton did a fabulous job on the performance. I rarely think it, but this one is a multi-listen purchase. Gold stars err... orange stars all around.
