Fans of the #1 bests eller Sh*t My Dad Says will recognize the always patient voice of Justin Halpern's dad as it crackles through this hysterical new audiobook. The story begins when Justin announces that he's decided to propose to his girlfriend. "You've been dating her for four years," his dad replies. "It ain't like you found a parallel fucking universe."

Jay says: "Funny but nowhere like the the first book."

I laughed so hard at this book. The reader reminded me at times of South Park characters and personally found that hysterical. When I finished with this book I borrowed J. Halpern's first novel from my library and listened to it twice in a row it was so funny.

Going against Mary Hightower's wishes, Nick, "the chocolate ogre" is slowly trying to reach every kid in Everlost to hand each and every one a coin, which will release them from Everlost. Mikey McGill and Allie have joined a band of skinjackers who have more of an impact on the living world then any other inhabitant of Everlost. Except Mikey can't skinjack and Allie can - and there is a very good reason.

    Allie is not actually dead.

I listened to the first book and felt the adolescent story was interesting, but I should have stopped there.

Over five years in the writing, Alice Hoffman’s most ambitious and mesmerizing work ever, a triumph of imagination and research set in ancient Israel. The author of such iconic bestsellers as Illumination Night, Practical Magic, Fortune’s Daughter, and Oprah’s Book Club selection Here on Earth, Alice Hoffman is one of the most popular and memorable writers of her generation. Now, in The Dovekeepers, Hoffman delivers her most masterful work yet - one that draws on her passion for mythology, magic, and archaeology and her inimitable understanding of women.

I really enjoyed this novel. The readers were all exceptional. The writing was beautiful and created a clear image, while invoking emotion. Its a heart breaking story, with a very feminine perspective. I definitely cried while listening, I really loved characters, but with how tragic the story is I would not suggest it to everyone.

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

I enjoyed this book. It has a unique storyline and the theme was something I feel strongly about. I did however feel more interested in the first half of the book, by the second half I got a little bored. But I was committed enough to want to finish it.

I felt that the characters were uninteresting and the story line was predictable. There were a few moments in the beginning of the store that I thought were particularly moving though.

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.

    Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed the imagery; the author creates a very vibrant world without color pallet. The story is illusive and keeps you interested the whole way through. This is one of my favorite books to recommend people to read. I have trouble imagining anyone who wouldn't enjoy this story.
