Until she finds herself under the protection of the darkly handsome Anders. Not only is she expected to accept that Anders is immortal, but also that she is the woman destined to be his life mate!

I love the Argeneau books this one included. My only problem is with the narrator of this one because she makes Anders sound so wooden & boring. I have also read the book & found it much more involving than this narration. I love Anders & was very pleased that his story has been written. Now I must wait for the next one.

After a tragic accident scarred her body and destroyed her dreams, Leila never imagined that the worst was still to come: a terrifying ability to channel electricity and to see a person's darkest secrets through a single touch. Leila is doomed to a life of solitude ... until creatures of the night kidnap her, forcing her to reach out with a telepathic distress call to the world's most infamous vampire. Vlad Tepesh inspired the greatest vampire legend of all - but whatever you do, don't call him Dracula.

As always Jeaniene Frost writes a great story but I found that this story was not as all enthralling as usual. The actual story did not grab me which is disapointing as I was so looking forward to Vlad"s stories. I just hope that the next one is better

Would you listen to A Secret Rage again? Why?

Yes because I found it to be an engrossing story

What about Johanna Parker???s performance did you like?

Johanna always gets you into the feelings of the story-teller & you get really involved

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

Charlaine Harris has proved again that her story telling is not confined to a certain style. I have read many of her books not only the Sookie Stackhouse & always find them involving

When historian Diana Bishop opens an alchemical manuscript in the Bodleian Library, it's an unwelcome intrusion of magic into her carefully ordered life. Though Diana is a witch of impeccable lineage, the violent death of her parents while she was still a child convinced her that human fear is more potent than any witchcraft. Now Diana has unwittingly exposed herself to a world she's kept at bay for years; one of powerful witches, creative, destructive daemons and long-lived vampires.

I just couldn't stop reading this book. It is such a combination of a love story & history that I found it very intriguing. Add in the supernatural and you really have a winner. I really hope that there is going to be a follow up novel because I would really like this story to continue. Loved the combination of Diana & Matthew.
