A few good ideas. Too many useless digressions. Often boring.
Christopher Moore is fun when he talks about San Francisco. He knows the city, its characters, its stories. He can unleash his irony and create "realistic" fantasies about Vampires, Death, old Gods and the like. Christopher Moore knows nothing about Palestine in the year 0, so the stories are trite and boring. The characters are unrealistic and anachronistic. The jocks are clever, not funny. I couldn't finish the book.
This book is a gem. The plot is gripping, the narrator is convincing, the considerations on the financial market and its scandals are timely. You will enjoy every second
