A great inventor, journalist, satirist, politician - a true Renaissance man - Benjamin Franklin perfectly embodied the traits we now treasure as "American."

Prairie says: "I wish high school history was this interesting!"
    "The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin"
    Overall

Not really what I expected, it was somewhat interesting, but I am no history buff. I didn't really remember much about him & was interested as I hear a lot of his quotes used. The book opens you up to where the man is coming from but does little to talk about any of what most consider his major acomplishments.

With only a handful of “tourists” - CIA-trained assassins - left, Weaver would like to move on and use this as an opportunity to regain a normal life, a life focused on his family. His former boss in the CIA, Alan Drummond, can’t let it go. When Alan uses one of Milo’s compromised aliases to travel to London and then disappears, calling all kinds of attention to his actions, Milo can’t help but go in search of him. Worse still, it's beginning to look as if Tourism's enemies are gearing up for a final, fatal blow.

Would you try another book from Olen Steinhauer and/or David Pittu?

Yes, only because I liked others

Would you ever listen to anything by Olen Steinhauer again?

    Yes

What does David Pittu bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

If this was not an audio book there is no way I would have finished this book.

Do you think An American Spy needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I have listened to other books in the series and usually like them but this one took forever to become interesting.. Like 8hrs before the story finally got going.

    Any additional comments?

This book is really slow at getting everything set up. The last few hrs were good but it took a long time to get there!

On the eve of publication, the two reporters responsible for the story are brutally murdered.

Don't get every ones comments about too much freaky sex? Yes it is part of the story but its not graphic or anything more then the previous story had? Its a good story and left us with a bit of a cliff hanger unlike the last one. If you liked the first one you will like this one.

Lots of good info, not really sure how to apply it without significant thought but then again I guess that's what they are trying to stress, look at the #'s rather then going with a whim :)

Reader was fine, the forumla stuff was hard to follow while driving but otherwise good book.

Charactor seemed interesting in the the League of Extrodinary Gentalmen. Clearly the movie took some libertys... Book was good but fairly slow at some points and almost seemed a bit winey. Did not realize that this was an orgional or very old reading of the book, after a bit I got used to the reader but you could clearly tell that technology had changed a bit.

Great pace, a fun story. Not quite like the DiVince Code or the Angles & Deamons book. But it is still a good story, this was one of his first books I was not able to guess the outcome of. If you like the storys of his other books you will like this one as well, but its not root around religen.

    Overall

I'm normally a big Anne Rice fan, but I think I have trouble getting into her books when I get the audio versions. Though with that said I also had a tough time with this one when I tried to read it. I found it a bit dull at times. But then again I have never really enjoyed all the family history stuff she brings out in some of her storys like the witching hour & The feast of all saints.

I was not a big fan of the reader eather. I don't want to sound to negative but this was a take it or leave it one for me.

I'm not a history buff or really into poltics and still enjoyed this one.

Its a good story but a bit slow by todays writting standards. If you enjoy 20,000 leagues under the sea and around the world in 80 days you will like this. The story is good for the imagination but can drag at times.
