I have been looking forward to all the Scanguard series becoming available on audible ever since I heard Samson's Lovely Mortal. Let me tell you this book didn't disappoint. Sex, Lies, and Murder, what more can you want from a good PNR. With this book by chapter two, I was able to deduce who the villain was but it didn't stop me from reading the rest of the story with enthusiasm. I think I was more interested with Gabriel's unusual sexual condition than I was in determining the mastermind stalker. Gabriel, although as described as not the most attractive vampire, he has a beautiful heart and soul underneath. I was happy he found what he needed in Maya, who is just as insecure about herself as Gabriel. Together they fill in each other what the other person is lacking. Yeah the ending is predictable but nonetheless it's worth time to get there. Is it worth a credit, umm DUH!!!!! And OH did I mention, I love Kevin Foley voice. MMMMM!!!!!!!
I love love love this book. I always think the second book will be a disappointment and not live up to the first copy, the sophomore slump. Oh no, not this book. This book was delicious, sexy, funny and worth the read. I instantly fell in love with the complexity that is Sarah and Max. Sarah wanting to get back her youth realizing she wasted it on a man that didn’t appreciation her and Max, wanting to know the mystery behind Sarah. Christian Lauren got it right again. Just sit back and fall in love with this book, it’s unbelievable.
Quinn the playboy of the century, has never found love since becoming a vampire because he has never stopped loving with his mortal wife, that dead shortly after he was turned (so he thinks). Two hundred years and an unknown child later, Rose appears asking for Quinn help to protect the great great great great grandson he never knew existed. Quinn was not only livid, he was severely pissed. But Quinn decides to help because even though it has been two centuries, Quinn still loves her, despite the deceit and lies.
Quinn story was very good. I spent my entire day finishing it. I couldn’t stop until I got to the end. I needed more of Quinn and Rose’s story. Even after the book ended, I was hoping that it would be another chapter. This book captivated my love conquers all spirit. For a hopeless romantic like me, this book was perfect. It has love, romance, sexy vampires (yumm), lies, some action and a HEA, what more could I want. I can’t wait to start on Oliver’s book next.
I gave the book three stars in performance only because up until this book Kevin Foley has been doing the narration and I have become accustomed to his voice with the characters. This isn’t to say Eric doesn’t have a decadent voice, but after five books and only one narrator throughout those books, I wanted Kevin’s sinful voice.
I love, love, love this series. Wick is one of my favorite Nightfury dragons, so I was excited to read his story. When his back story was finally revealed the relationship between Wick and Venom become so much clearer. With the explanation of his background, I understand Wick and love him that much more. I like JJ too. She offers the right amount of vulnerability and strength to be the female for Wick. This book offers a good blend of action, romance, and suspense. The book also answers a couple of questions that were presented in previous books and left some unopened questions, a good set up for the next book in the series. Be prepared for a WHAT!!, moment in this book.
If you haven’t read the previous three books in this series, please read them before you read this book. Although each book is on a different member of the Nightfury pack, reading them in order gives you a better understanding of the series, the characters and the world the author draws the reader into.
Worth a credit, umm YEAH!! But at the price, just buy it and save the credit for another day.
Her Husband’s Harlot is a detailed, romantic, excited ride into Regency London. From the first chapter I was captivated with the story and the characters. I enjoyed reading about the relationship between Helena and Nicholas. The turmoil they faced and ultimately their HEA. It wasn’t a forced ending; they gradually progress to this journeys end. Also, I enjoyed being there with Helena as she discovered her sexual awareness with herself and her husband. Very Sensual!!!! It was a good read. So much so, I didn’t notice the length of the book and wanted it to continue.
Erin’s narration with the book was decent. I enjoyed her accent with each character. My only objection is that sometimes it was hard to distinguish between the male and female characters.
Worth a credit, Yes.
Yvette told Zane “I hope you fell in love with your worst enemy”. Little did Zane know how true her words would ring. Zane’s Redemption is exciting, passionate, soul redeeming book.
Zane is a fierce warrior who doesn’t believe he deserves to be loved because of what was drilled into him as a young man inside of a concentration camp. He has become a jaded, cold, violent vampire whose only motive in life is to kill those that wrong him and his family. He believes his heart can’t love again until he meets the young innocent Portia that tempts him like no woman ever has. Portia is a hybrid (half human, half vampire) determined to lose her virginity before her body set into its final vampire form. No man has ever made Portia body sizzle like Zane has and she is determine to learn more about the man than just a physical attraction.
I am a huge fan of all the Scanguard books so this was no exception. But of all the books in the series, this book was the most beautifully written with a heartbreaking back story. Zane was scarred not only emotionally but mentally as well. Portia has her work cut out for him, trying to save Zane but it’s worth it in the end. To say that I enjoyed this book is an understatement. This book is a great addition to any PNR fan that loves, romance, excitement, a little suspense, some hot sex scenes and a HEA to top it off.
It’s worth a download. All the books in this series are worth a download. Love them!
This book was a struggle for me to finish. I have read all the other books in the series and this book was my least favorite. I’m not sure if it’s because I didn’t feel Synjon transformation at the end or his depth of love for Petra and their baby. I just wasn’t feeling this book. I did, however, enjoy the cliff cliffhanger at the end. I’m soo interested in reading the next book. I think that’s going to be good. As always I enjoyed Tavia Gilbert, she has one of the best voices for narration. She adds life to each character and makes them uniquely their own.
I am really in love with this series. I am so happy I decided to pick up the first book in the series, Fury. This is series is nothing short of a sweet addiction.
Justice is the face of New Species. He was elected the leader of NSO because he was better able to adapt to humans. His job is hectic, grueling and lonesome. He wants a mate and has made a promise to himself that he will mate a NSO female because that is what is expected of him. Jessie is a pint size, woman of extreme courage and human. She doesn’t allow the fact that she is small and a woman stop her from doing her job, which is being the first contract when her human task force tracks down the Gift Species. Jessie falls for Justice upon first meeting him and vice versa but both deny it because them admitting those feelings publicly can lead to so many problems for Jessie, Justice and the NSO.
I enjoyed this book because Justice was face with such a real dilemma. Should he love the woman his heart wants or do what is right for his people? And if he decides to love her, can she love him the man or Justice the leader of NSO? This was a good book. I was happy to see Justice find love after watching his friends find their own mates.
Normally I love Tina Folsom’s books and enjoy her writing with much enthusiasm. But this book, not so much. The first book of this series was humorous, fun and entertaining. This book was just grading. The female character was naïve, annoying and I can’t feel sympathy for her. I mean really what did you expect after two weeks of dating? Are you really that stupid? I wanted to scream at the book, “Please stop listening to your best friend and grow a back bone”. Did Dio deserves Ariadne ire, sure he did? But punish him for his rudeness. Don’t try to make it something it wasn’t. I just wasn’t feeling this book. I still love Tina and will continue to read/listen to her novels, just not this one again. But I love Eric performance.
If I ever got divorce or in a bad breakup because of a cheating spouse, I hope I have a backbone like Lacey and can learn to just let go in the end. Molly Harper writes a novel that is hilarious as well as thoughtful and touching. You go thru in your mind, all the different situations that would play out if you ever caught your significant other cheating and what your reactions would be but I don’t think writing a newsletter detailing the entire affair would be your first choice. Did Lacey resent that she had hit that send button and sent the newsletter to all his family, friends and clients, yeah a little. Would she take it back, you bet your butt she wouldn’t. From the first moment I heard the opening line, I knew this was going to be a book I couldn’t put down or stop listening to. Once again, a Molly and Amanda combination is a one two punch that deliver the book home. I have truly become a fan of Molly and her work. I love her sense of humor and her writing. Bravo Ms. Harper.
I loved this book. So far this is my favorite in the series. I don’t know if it’s because of Valiant’s vulnerability because he looks more animal than man or because even his own females are afraid of him and he desperately wants someone to love him, Valiant the man. It could be a combination of all the above but this book is indeed my favorite, so far.
Tammy accidentally walks in the wildzone and unto Valiant’s property. Valiant is furious because A. he doesn’t like humans and B. he is a mean son of a bitch but something about Tammy enchants him. Never believing he would ever find a human attractive or want to breed with one, he slowly realizes he wants Tammy. Tammy is frozen out of fear and unable to move or say anything to the man-beast that is slowly stalking near her. It wasn’t until Valiant lifted Tammy in his arms and carries her to his bedroom, that she finds her voice and bravery. But just as Valiant feels he has found someone to share his life with, Tammy leaves him with a knot on his head and an ache in his heart. It isn’t until five weeks later when Tammy is kidnapped and Valiant is asked to track her attacks that their path cross again and this time Valiant is determine to not let his Tammy get away from him, not that Tammy minds so much.
Vanessa voice isn’t the best narrator I have heard but after three books, I have become accustom to it.
Worth a credit, YES YES YES! You don’t have to read the previous two books in this series to understand this book but the books read in order offer a lot of character and world building.
