The narrator is awesome and fit the characters perfectly. Books should evoke some emotion and this book did so ... so much so, that I won't be reading the rest of the trilogy. The main character became so despised, I don't want to continue.
I guess narrates is the proper term, because he does read the story with any enthusiasm. Every 5 words is spoken as a sentence.
I'm hesitant to continue the series as audible books. They are all narrated by the same droll "artist".
Good story. Typical Terry Brooks. Some of the narrators "voices" are good, but most are awful and hard to get through. All the female voices are whiney.
The basic story is great and very entertaining, but I'm not a fan of many author's excessive use of sexual depravity and abuse these days. By the end of this series you'll be very tired of hearing "he said too softly". Not sure what that means either.
