In a world of conflicted loyalties, rapidly diminishing human power, and the possibility that anyone can be a spy, what's at stake is nothing less than human freedom's last hope to survive the technology revolution.

    Story

It's a great sequel to Daemon which peaked the curiosity to the max. As with any great first book the credit goes to the original so Daemon is the better book by any means but its incomplete and you have to listen to Freedon to get to the end and its a fun ride too.

Thousands of autonomous computer programs, or daemons, make our networked world possible, running constantly in the background of our lives, trafficking e-mail, transferring money, and monitoring power grids. For the most part, daemons are benign, but the same can't always be said for the people who design them.

A storm struck on the night Laura Shane was born, and there was a strangeness about the weather that people would remember for years. But even more mysterious was the blond-haired stranger who appeared out of nowhere - the man who saved Laura from a fatal delivery. Years later - after another bolt of lightning - the stranger returned.

Barry says: "One of Koontz' best, entirely enjoyable."
"an old concept but well woven"

    Story

Its a rhetoric concept with several versions of time travel stories over the years. But Koontz knows how to weave a tale and still manages to keep it moving. Not as much fun as other koontz but well performed .

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

This is few of the rarest book i heard and found so much more fun as audio in comparison to the book. The sarcastic humor of lead guy correy becomes so much fun in audio that its a fun and thrill ride all through the book. Must read!! just one word of caution..this book will leave you dying for more and there is a sequel to this...which puts an end to this story.
