Serena Kelley is an archaeologist and treasure hunter - and a woman with a secret. Since she was seven, she's been the keeper of a powerful charm that grants her health and immortality... as long as she stays a virgin. But Serena isn't all that innocent. And when a dangerously handsome stranger brings her to the brink of ecstasy, she wonders if she's finally met the one man she cannot resist.

There were so many emotional cliffhangers that I felt like I was been tortured instead of Wraith, but I enjoyed every minute of it. It was hard for me to breathe knowing that I was trying to make it to the end. I was feeling the pain and agony of every character. All of their love, lust and loss they went through I felt it as an emotional reader (that’s just not me).

The narrators’ voice was not that bad. I think she did ok as Serena. She brought out the youthful essence of the females but not so much the males and that may have thrown many listeners at to the performance value. The story rocks! I love how the writer passionately details the life of each brother and never strays from their relationship to each other.

Their first encounter leads to several passionate nights, but out of the bedroom there’s no issue they won’t butt heads about. I absolutely loved this story. It's not easy being a working mother trying to hold down a relationship. This book was a pleasant listen. it wasn't a fast race to a happy ending but a somewhat realistic view of the ups and downs in maintaining a a relationship when both parties have issues.

This story was predictable and filled with drama. I was equally tied up with the characters’ life and really disappointed with the lead characters inability to stay faithful. Each characters flaw was exhibited, but there lacked an ability to resolve their issues. I take that back. Only one person showed a propensity for resolution and that was the mother. She tried to explain to her daughter that she was following the same path and that she should choose differently, but to no avail. This book kept to a crescendo, but never seemed to decrease in the dynamics of the story telling. I am not clear if this book was to have a sequel or if this was the end. I know that I was left bereft and unsatisfied. “AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY”

Superstar comedian and Hollywood box-office star Kevin Hart turns his immense talent to the written word by writing some words. Some of those words include: the, a, for, above, and even even. Put them together and you have the funniest, most heartfelt, and most inspirational memoir on survival, success, and the importance of believing in yourself since Old Yeller.

I enjoyed his comedic life lessons that I both agreed and disagreed with. this book reminded me of his comedy shows but with a more behind-the-scenes View of what it took to make the show aka the life of Kevin Hart. very entertaining and worth the credit.

I was lured to this book by the cover and title . I put it in my wishlist , thinking I will purchase it later. Clearly my book recommendations list would not let me pass it by and after two weeks it was mine. King was no disappointment! I have to admit I was turned off by the ages of the lead characters but after awhile it became a distant memory. Although the female lead had no memory, it was clear that she was a blank slate with a life needing to be filled. She encountered all kinds of twists and turns and emotional upheaval, that she found it hard to hang on to the little image of herself that she knew. King is just a force of nature! He overpowered her with just his being. There is no turning away from the fire that is King. You just have to get burned. The huge cliffhanger ending forces the reader to purchase the next book, so be prepared. Great read and it did not waste time getting to the action. looking forward to book 3.

I remember everything, only now I wish I didn't. When the fog is sucked away from my mind like smoke through a vacuum, the truth that has been beyond my reach for months finally reveals itself. But the relief I thought I would feel never comes, and I'm more afraid now than I was the morning I woke up handcuffed in King's bed. Because with the truth comes dark secrets I was never meant to know. I don't know if I'm strong enough to resist the magnetic pull toward King that grows stronger every day.

When Cordell Carmel catches his longtime girlfriend with another man, the act he witnesses seems to dissolve all the boundaries he knows. He wants revenge but also something more. Killing Johnny Fry is the story of Cordell's dark, funny, soulful, and outrageously explicit sexual odyssey in search of a new way of life. It marks new territory for the best-selling author of Devil in a Blue Dress and countless other books; it will surprise, provoke, inspire, and make you blush.

I struggled with deciding whether to keep listening or not . The story was really deep and dark and sort of sad. I was really saddened by all the broken family dynamics that led to some outrageously dark and complicated situations. the lead character starts off with a seemingly uncomplicated life until he encounters a minor stumbling block that derails his forward motion. He begins to realize that he hasn't been moving forward but in a continuous circle going nowhere. His whole life seems to be in a downward spiral. his life is further complicated by what appears to be an endless cycle of women in need. I stayed with a book for two reasons 1 because I really wanted to know if Johnny Fri would get killed and how and number 2 because I really wanted to know if the lead character would find a way out of his unresolved issues with his girlfriend. would he finally tell her the things that bothered him. I don't know if I was completely satisfied with the ending of this book only to say I was glad to get to the end. I still feel like there should have been more of a resolution for the lead character but I guess that could be another chapter for another book.

Even though I found this book a struggle to get through, I still love even work and her emotional connection with the people around her. I still love to see Eve grow with her social connections with the people she now considers family. It was a struggle because it took too long to get to the meat of the subject. But like always when it's there it's great going.

Jesse Ward drowned her with his intensity and blindsided her with his passion, but he kept her away from his dark secrets and broken soul. Leaving him was the only way Ava O'Shea could survive. She should have known that Jesse Ward is impossible to escape - and now he's back in her life, determined to remind her of the sensual pleasures they had shared. Ava is equally determined to get at the truth beneath this man's steely exterior. That means letting herself get close to the Lord of the Manor once more.

    Story

I am not sure how I feel about this book. There is a lot of back and forth that leaves me frustrated with the characters. Some things are so evident that I can’t believe the main character (Ava) allowed herself to be manipulated like this. I recently read a post that said “a woman will go to the extreme for the man she cares about and even harder for the man that cares about her”, but these two characters take caring to another level. The relationship was toxic from book 1 and I really wasn’t sure that I wanted to continue with the series. But like a train wreck, I had to stop and look. What kept me intrigued was the passion that fueled the lust filled story. I wanted to know Jesse’s story and what made him so possessive. Ava appeared contemporary, but she too is easily manipulated by the men in her life and even by her best friend. As in many of these stories, the characters are both damaged by previous relationships and situations. Some of the damage was evident and some was not. I think Ava saw herself as wanting to fix a broken man, but without knowing all the parts of him, she fell into his brokenness. Jesse, being a dominant, knew all the ways to manipulate and posses someone as passive as Ava. She needed stability and he thought the best way to give her what she needed was to control her with sex. All in all, the book was filled with people being torn apart, coming together, torn apart again, sex and more sex. By the time I finished, I had more questions than answers and I was left dizzy. I am not sure if I will use my credit for the third installment. I will, however, look for books with this narrator in particular. I really enjoyed her emotional read in this story.

A woman may have written it, but I believe she gathered a lot of information from a males point of view. Sebastian York did a very good job with the comedic parts and even giving the impression that he was talking to a room full of women. I must admit that I laughed and even talked backed as if I were in the same room. I enjoyed the descriptive sex scenes as well as hearing the males perspective on relationships, sex and break-ups. Like I said, an enjoyable listen and worth the credit.

New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber is a master at portraying unforgettable characters and complex, passionate relationships. Voluptuous Loraine Farrow is as successful as she is curvy, but life is never easy when you want to have your cake and eat it too. With her husband Leon confronting issues from his past, trouble arises on the homefront - and more drama is on the way in the form of Michael, an ex-lover desperate to rekindle his and Loraine’s once torrid flame.

    Story

I liked the book because it told and interesting story with a twist that I didn’t count on. The secrets and lies and even losing a best friend, I could really relate to. I was intrigued by the affair and even the demands the wife Loraine made on her husband Leon. They both were trying to justify their infidelity through their anger and greed; Loraine making demands on her lover when she is still married and Leon doing the same, was just not realistic or smart. There were some real in-depth topics behind the scene that I felt would tell a powerful back story as well. Topics such as premature ejaculation, child molestation, adultery, stalking, closet sexuality… And the list goes on.

I hated the book for personal reasons. I could not stand the naïve role the wife played or the arrogance of the best friend. It was all just too much. The book was believable up until the epilogue. I felt like I was seeing an old mob movie in my head. You know the scene where a body is floating in the east river.

Webber is a good writer, but I was not particularly sold on this book or its narrators. I could only recommend this book as a guide on what not to do in any type of relationship.
