This was my first book of this type and I must admit that it was unexpected. It was truly not what I thought. I learned a lot about the worldly dimensions through the characters. They were very passionate about their lives and how they chose to live it. I love how the narrator spoke through Tayla’s fears and her emotional outburst. I love the story of two sworn enemies, through fate, were brought together against all they believed. And the sex isn’t bad either, lol!

The narration was pretty good and very believable. The inflections were right on queue which made for a more believable story. I can’t wait to pick up the next book in the series. I want to read more about T and E as well as the other demons in the book. The y seem to have an interesting story to tell.

Jesse Ward drowned her with his intensity and blindsided her with his passion, but he kept her away from his dark secrets and broken soul. Leaving him was the only way Ava O'Shea could survive. She should have known that Jesse Ward is impossible to escape - and now he's back in her life, determined to remind her of the sensual pleasures they had shared. Ava is equally determined to get at the truth beneath this man's steely exterior. That means letting herself get close to the Lord of the Manor once more.

    Story

I am not sure how I feel about this book. There is a lot of back and forth that leaves me frustrated with the characters. Some things are so evident that I can’t believe the main character (Ava) allowed herself to be manipulated like this. I recently read a post that said “a woman will go to the extreme for the man she cares about and even harder for the man that cares about her”, but these two characters take caring to another level. The relationship was toxic from book 1 and I really wasn’t sure that I wanted to continue with the series. But like a train wreck, I had to stop and look. What kept me intrigued was the passion that fueled the lust filled story. I wanted to know Jesse’s story and what made him so possessive. Ava appeared contemporary, but she too is easily manipulated by the men in her life and even by her best friend. As in many of these stories, the characters are both damaged by previous relationships and situations. Some of the damage was evident and some was not. I think Ava saw herself as wanting to fix a broken man, but without knowing all the parts of him, she fell into his brokenness. Jesse, being a dominant, knew all the ways to manipulate and posses someone as passive as Ava. She needed stability and he thought the best way to give her what she needed was to control her with sex. All in all, the book was filled with people being torn apart, coming together, torn apart again, sex and more sex. By the time I finished, I had more questions than answers and I was left dizzy. I am not sure if I will use my credit for the third installment. I will, however, look for books with this narrator in particular. I really enjoyed her emotional read in this story.

A woman may have written it, but I believe she gathered a lot of information from a males point of view. Sebastian York did a very good job with the comedic parts and even giving the impression that he was talking to a room full of women. I must admit that I laughed and even talked backed as if I were in the same room. I enjoyed the descriptive sex scenes as well as hearing the males perspective on relationships, sex and break-ups. Like I said, an enjoyable listen and worth the credit.

The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires.... From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside - so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat. No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

I love the fact that you Sylvia starts her books from the end of the previous one. This series is easy to follow and a great read. Sylvia never forgets to fill-in the blanks of Gideon's deception towards Ava or to give answers to the questions regarding his past. It all just leads to more questions and more depth of every character. You will fall in love with the main characters and never want to let them go. I just love Gideon and Ava. They are tortured, kindred spirits who fight to stay together when others want to keep them apart. I am so glad to know their love story continues. I am ready for book 4. Thanks Sylvia!

New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber is a master at portraying unforgettable characters and complex, passionate relationships. Voluptuous Loraine Farrow is as successful as she is curvy, but life is never easy when you want to have your cake and eat it too. With her husband Leon confronting issues from his past, trouble arises on the homefront - and more drama is on the way in the form of Michael, an ex-lover desperate to rekindle his and Loraine’s once torrid flame.

    Story

I liked the book because it told and interesting story with a twist that I didn’t count on. The secrets and lies and even losing a best friend, I could really relate to. I was intrigued by the affair and even the demands the wife Loraine made on her husband Leon. They both were trying to justify their infidelity through their anger and greed; Loraine making demands on her lover when she is still married and Leon doing the same, was just not realistic or smart. There were some real in-depth topics behind the scene that I felt would tell a powerful back story as well. Topics such as premature ejaculation, child molestation, adultery, stalking, closet sexuality… And the list goes on.

I hated the book for personal reasons. I could not stand the naïve role the wife played or the arrogance of the best friend. It was all just too much. The book was believable up until the epilogue. I felt like I was seeing an old mob movie in my head. You know the scene where a body is floating in the east river.

Webber is a good writer, but I was not particularly sold on this book or its narrators. I could only recommend this book as a guide on what not to do in any type of relationship.

    Story

Delicious is not so simple when you factor in lies, deception and misdirection. Nothing about Alyssa and Luc’s meeting is conventional. So it stands to reason that there coming together as a couple would have some challenges as well. Both of them are content to live with the demons of their past; not once thinking about the direct affect their choices would have on their future.

Delicious is one of the best books in the series to me. There is still the same intensity and steamy sex scenes as the rest of the series, but I could really relate to the different difficult challenges in developing and maintaining the relationship. I also like how the author infused favorite characters from the previous books in the series to give the reader an update on their comings and goings and also to show their direct relationships to each other.

My favorite character in this book is Tyler. His devotion to Alyssa was obvious in that it was unclear if he was the good guy or the bad guy. Tyler’s deception was knowing he had a secret so big that he could alter Alyssa’s life and his possible future with her. He gives a lot of misdirection to Luc purposely to misconceive Luc’s thoughts about Alyssa. Luc falls for the deception as Tyler fuels his jealousy with taunts and very inappropriate gestures. Tyler is clearly the next character in the series.

Lexi Maynard is a very good narrator. In the beginning I didn’t think it would be possible for her to keep up with all the male voices, but Lexi holds her own and has done a very good job. I don’t know if I would continue to listen if there was a sudden change. I still recommend the Wicked Lover series as a good read.

I really enjoyed this book. It was not hard to follow. Even though office romances are typical, the tension between the two main characters was very intense and the sex was steamy and hot. The feelings they had for each other was like a pressure cooker, ready to pop off. The panty ripping and dirty talk left me bereft and panting for more. The only regret was that there wasn't more sex in the office. Whenever there is office hedonism, you can always count on sex in the supply closet, on office equipment, and just short of getting caught by the office staff (OK, so experience is a good teacher). This book was worth the credit and a repeat listen.

The narrator did a good job keeping up with male and female voices. She made it believable and easy to follow.

    Story

I could not get enough of this book. The book opens with boy loosing girl because of his macho, caveman persona. Sedric Lionheart, the lead singer of the Sinners, is so thick headed that it takes two years and several women later for him to realize that he lost the only woman that could ever satisfy him in every way. Jessica, the love of his life, is done with his controlling ways and wants to take charge of her own life. Jessica has supported Sed with his dreams but she could not understand why he didn’t support hers. They were compatible sexually in that they matched each other’s needs tic for tat, but its Sedric’s controlling nature that sets them apart. Although he loves her, he doesn’t know how to love her and allow her to lead their own life. Such is the case with the band. Sedric is the leader of band and therefore the leader of everything. Throughout the story, Sed learns there are things that are just beyond his control.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The character of Jessica reminded me of someone of knew from my college years who danced her way through college. I can only imagine how her boyfriend felt seeing men gawk at her. Jessica’s character stressed me as well. I could not stand the way she kept second guessing herself. She was never assertive when she needed to be. Jessica never questioned her sexuality. She never had to be coaxed into asserting her voyeuristic nature or how and where she liked to be pleasured. She never had to with Sed because he was intuned with her body and her sexual needs. But outside of the bedroom or sex, Jessica was weak and allowed herself to willingly accept defeat. I guess this is where the writer had to show their compatibility. Where Jessica was weak, Sedric was strong and vice versa.

This book is a good read and I can’t wait catch up on the other band members.

It's been months since Brian Sinclair, lead guitarist for the famous rock band Sinners, composed anything. Unable to write the music that once flowed so naturally, Brian is lost without his musical mojo. But when sexy psychology professor Myrna Evans comes on tour to study groupie mentality, Brian may have found the spark he needs to reignite his musical genius. When lust turns to love, will Brian be able to convince Myrna that what they have is more than just a fling, and that now that he's found his heart's muse, he doesn't want to live without her?

This book was about a female college professor who was forced by her past to live as an introvert. Myrna, the unconventional groupie that no one ever expects to be a fan of a rock band, becomes enthralled by having a one night stand with her favorite guitar player, Master Sinclair. Brian, the devastatingly gorgeous lead guitar player is heartbroken again after falling in love with a band groupie who sleeps with his band mate. By chance Myrna meets her favorite rock band and begins to live out her deepest sexual fantasies with her favorite music idol, Master Sinclair, and becomes his greatest fan. They become each other’s fantasies. The sex is awesome and not for the faint at heart. Brian lays it down and Myrna lets go of her inhibitions. Like every budding relationship, Brian and Myrna carry along baggage that somehow makes its way on the tour bus. The rest of the band, in one way or another, willing takes part in keeping the relationship intact.

This book fulfilled all my expectations. I can recall my groupie days, following my favorite band and finding it easy to slip into the mode of wanting to do anything just to be able to touch the idol of my affection. I remember standing alongside the stage trying to swindle a backstage pass out of the bodyguards. I remember working at certain venues because I knew my favorite artist would perform there. The lengths that people would go through as a groupie was overwhelming.

Olivia Cunning did a great job showing the depth of each character. I just knew that she would invest time in letting every character be known and have a purpose. Thus, reading the next book in the series is a must. Although Sinners is a fictional band they could be any music group or icon of any genre.

There were so many emotional cliffhangers that I felt like I was been tortured instead of Wraith, but I enjoyed every minute of it. It was hard for me to breathe knowing that I was trying to make it to the end. I was feeling the pain and agony of every character. All of their love, lust and loss they went through I felt it as an emotional reader (that’s just not me).

The narrators’ voice was not that bad. I think she did ok as Serena. She brought out the youthful essence of the females but not so much the males and that may have thrown many listeners at to the performance value. The story rocks! I love how the writer passionately details the life of each brother and never strays from their relationship to each other.
