"My first audio book"
The use of 3 different narrators for the 3 different main characters was fantastic - I really enjoyed the quality of the voice actors and that made the story very enjoyable. I listened to it while I drove across the U.S. from California to Ohio.
"Very fun & Entertaining!"
I haven't seen the print version but I am so glad that I started with this one because her voice and personality is what makes this material all the more fun. I listened to this on a cross-country drive and it was very engaging & fun - it had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion.
Everything! She sounds like a fun & approachable person.
"Wickedly performed"
The voice actor was fantastic - he did a great job with all the different characters. I thought that the story didn't hold together very well - it could have used some editing - like the weird gratuitous sex club scene, what the heck was that about? The story started off really well - and just lost steam. I'm not interested in reading the follow-on stories.
He was great - all the characters were very well done.
No.
"Expected better..."
Probably not.
I swear my friend Crazy Jennie told me this exact same story about being solicited to go to a harem in the Middle East and all about white slavery when we were in college in 1990 - so many of her details sound like Jillian's details and it makes me wonder how much of the book was fictionalized.
The voice actresses performance was great!
I'd like to see something that was a little less fictional.
"Meh"
Might try Middlesex but the story for
More depth in the characters - make me care about them more. They were just not that sympathetic. They were all kind of whiny, self centered and boring.
No, absolutely not.
